Many FReepers have knowledge to share about improving and maintaining health and would like to share it and learn from others; and others may not know much yet but want to learn. Some of us don't have much money for good insurance or doctors, some want to try other methods besides prescription meds, and some have experience in treating and solving health problems.
More and more "regular" doctors have accepted treatment methods such as the benefits of acupuncture, massage for many conditions, better diet, use of herbs and so on. There are limits, and often side effects, to some standard medical efforts.
My field is Ayurvedic herbalism and related measures, and have a lot of information I can post when I have time. I have seen herbs and sometimes dietary changes help people (including myself) with issues such as rheumatoid arthritis, high BP, gallstones, kidneystones, repeated boils, UTIs, prostate problems, insomnia, allergies, urinary incontinence, and many more. I hope to learn a lot from others with their knowledge and experience.
There are many "old fashioned" home care methods that were in common use a few generations ago that actually work and are cheap, such as castor oil packs, fomentations using alternating hot and cold water, and the like, which are easy to do. I am sure there is a lot of knowledge here on Free Republic that can be shared.
I would like this thread to stay civil without distruption, so my request is that people who think natural health methods are bunkum, make your own thread.
Powerful stuff!!
Im really glad it helped you.
I dont have a way to measure it, but I can exercise now without being short of breath.
My too, I just got back from a 40 minute walk. It feels great to be out and moving again.
I just ordered the pippail from Banyan today. I am excited to try it along with the 2 supplements aMorePerfectUnion recommended and my N-acetyl L-cysteine.
How fast does the Pippail start working?
Hard to say how fast; I just ground some up since my ground bottle was empty, plan to make pippali milk today. I usually add a couple of good pinches to every hot drink, and that is good. But the boiled down pippali milk is very very effective. Get as much down your throat as you can (within reason) whatever way you can.
Yay - good news!
Anyone here do Liposomal Vit. “C”?
Not me - the only Vit C I take is in rosehips and amalaki.
I’m not knowledgeable about vitamin or mineral supplements at all, but others on the thread are.
You may or may not know...we give Vit "C" I.V. in hospitals....
Depending on who you talk to....Liposomal is as good or better than I.V. Vit. "C"....
You could look it all up....for your self...
I feel darn good doing it...myself.
I never heard of it, I can’t research everything in the world.... but if you have some knoweldge of it, maybe you could share that?
I used to make my own Liposomal Vitamin C, then got a bit lazy and switched to Dr Mercola’s Liposomal Vit C caps.
Here’s a recipe very similar to the Liposomal Vitamin C that I used to make...

Haha I use the formula you sent me. Easy to make and not expensive. I have more energy. Have had no side effects. But the taste is still a get it over with quickly thing.
Curious...did your formula require using the sonic cleaner?
Liposomal Encapsulated C Recipe
DOUBLE RECIPE: 2 cups water plus 6 tbsp non-GMO lecithin. (soak 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally) 1 cup warm water plus 2 tbsp ascorbic acid. Mix well to dissolve fully.
METHOD: Put both liquids into blender and blend at high speed for at least one minute.
Pour into ultrasonic cleaner and run for at least 20 minutes...or until the foam goes away
Stir with a large plastic straw or spoon while running the ultrasonic cleaner. Pour into a clean glass or HDPE container and refrigerate.
I drink about two fingers...every morning. Don't drink anything for a 1/2 hr. after.
I use NOW Sunflower Lecithin..and NOW Ascorbic Acid...
Do NOT use the ultra sonic for anything else....
If your ultra sonic is smaller...just cut the recipe in half....
Yes it did. But I saw another video where the solution is in a glass jar filled to the rim in the sonic cleaner instead of directly in the cleaner. It has mixed the C very well this way and less messy than trying to pour into a jar from the sonic cleaner. I still mix for 30 minutes stirring frequently.
Thanks for the reply.
I have to dig out my (four year) old recipe and look into making this, again.
I like the taste...Ha!!!
I usually research stuff before I try it. I’m glad I skipped the research on the E2 or I might not have tried it.
I think my lungs are pretty clear after no smoking for almost 14 years.
I do have lots of chronic sinus problems though. I have been using the behind the counter sudafed everyday and even more now since my sinuses are bothering me because of allergies. With just a 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper my sinuses are better.
It works great for constipation too
After I build up to half a teaspoon I’m sure my sinuses will be in great shape with the help from my neti pot.
Thank you for update. I have nelgected this thread due to this/n/that - some sickness which makes me dumb and I still have regular chores I have to do. You mean long pepper/pippali, yeah? I’m glad your sinuses are better. Massaging the areas on your face where the sinuses hide out, especially with some oil with EOs (proper dilution of course) can help, too. Since a lot of the regular ones like Eucalyptus you can’t use, spicy ones like ginger, cardamom, black pepper, clove, cinnamon, even basil (of course really tiny amounts, esp cinnamon!) would likely be useful as a long term healing method.
