I think my lungs are pretty clear after no smoking for almost 14 years.

I do have lots of chronic sinus problems though. I have been using the behind the counter sudafed everyday and even more now since my sinuses are bothering me because of allergies. With just a 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper my sinuses are better.

It works great for constipation too

After I build up to half a teaspoon I’m sure my sinuses will be in great shape with the help from my neti pot.

Thank you for update. I have nelgected this thread due to this/n/that - some sickness which makes me dumb and I still have regular chores I have to do. You mean long pepper/pippali, yeah? I’m glad your sinuses are better. Massaging the areas on your face where the sinuses hide out, especially with some oil with EOs (proper dilution of course) can help, too. Since a lot of the regular ones like Eucalyptus you can’t use, spicy ones like ginger, cardamom, black pepper, clove, cinnamon, even basil (of course really tiny amounts, esp cinnamon!) would likely be useful as a long term healing method.

And to anyone who might be interested.

TREATING BURNS

I am used to small burns as I’ve worked as a cook, cooked many many times for large-ish groups of people, and always cooked from scratch. Usually I just tolerate and go on with my business.

Then I learned more and more about natural healing methods.

More than 20 years ago I was cooking for a group of friends who were coming over and grabbed the handle of the iron frying pan without a potholder. Forgot...

A burn the size of a quarter appeared and while not very big, the pain was almost intolerable. I had read about Lavender essential oil healing burns, so I applied some. As the oil went across the burn, I could see its progress, the pain disappeared. I was quite amazed.

In some minutes the pain came back, so I took a small piece of absorbent cotton cloth, soaked it in Lavender, and taped it on. No more noticeable pain.

The next morning there was a very faint, almost unnoticeable pale pinkish spot where the burn had been. I had never seen a burn heal that fast, with no blistering, open weeping sore type thing.

Later I’ll tell an even more amazing burn story, with a much worse burn.
