I was falsely accused of having an affair and fathering a child with a woman I never met.
A WOMAN I NEVER MET.
I am a reasonably locally-prominent person. I had the misfortune of being on the front page of a local paper one day when a lady I'd never met gave birth. I gave a lot of money to a school.
She saw me on the paper. She saw I was wealthy and reasonably important. So when the clerk came in with the birth certificate form to fill out, she put my name.
She went on welfare and concocted a giant story of an affair. She was very convincing.
I was briefly forced to pay child support until I spent a lot of money on DNA tests (yes, plural). All came back that the kid was not mine.
I had to attend court several times. I took a deposition. I had to attend court-mandated parenting classes for a child I never wanted to see. I never got my money back.
Probably all in, it cost me $50,000, counting my lawyers.
I almost got a divorce. People gossiped, and do to this day.
Nothing ever happened to the lady who lied. It's a crime to put false information on an official form, but despite my requests to prosecute, nothing happened.
My name remains on the birth certificate, as there apparently is no way to change it. My lawyers take this into account when they set up trusts and wills and whatnot for my estate.
All because some random bitch lied.

What I have seen a couple of times is this.
Marrigae falling apart.
Guy moves out temporarily.
Things are going south.
Wife all of a sudden has a change of heart.
He moves back in.
She plys him with drinks.
Roughs herself up.
Calls the police for DV.
He is removed.
Bingo, She wins.

I am so sorry to hear about this injustice to you. Unfortunately it has happened throughout history to multitudes of men.
It disgusts and angers me the people who tear others apart with lies. I am equally livid at the people who keep saying we ‘have to believe’ just because someone is accusing someone of something, or a woman! Was they born yesterday? Do they not know even the bible and other historic books show thousands of years of being warned of these kinds of people?
I believe the Kavenaugh attacks are forcing people to recognize a lot of injustices and opening eyes with this obvious circus of corruption.
I know your pain firsthand. In 1999, I made the office queen mad because she came and went as she pleased. I reported her. She was reprimanded. She said, “I’m going to get you and it’s going to be bad.”
She charged me with sexual harassment. She dinged me for kissing her on the cheek once, I did it..Back in old times, it was something you could do as a sister type thing. She also got me for a hug that she initiated at Christmas. I had to fight for my life. I was found innocent at the initial level of investigation. And I kept marvelous records back then.
Please don’t give me the blah blah blah of I should have sued her. There is little to no recourse. Our system is a train wreck. And even then, going up against a lying woman wasn’t a good idea. You should see the actresses cry. But nobody cares about men who are falsely accused. And sexual harassment is the scarlet letter.
That is so horrible I have no words. Thank God for DNA, but there should be consequences for what you went through.
There should at least be a way to attach an amendment to a birth certificate. My grandfather, born in Oklahoma, got his birth certificate as an adult, and some things were wrong. He went to the county or state, and they added a second page with corrections.

I don't know about Texas, but there are lots of bizarre pro-woman laws on the books.
I have a friend who was arrested one night while reading a story to his three children. His wife had taken up with an old boyfriend and wanted to get rid of him, so she committed perjury and got a temporary restraining order is which resulted in arrest and a no-contact order. The wife was so dumb, she put her and the kids with the boyfriend at the beach on Facebook while the husband was still locked up.
Anyway, the order was set aside once he got to court (after eight weeks living in his car and forbidden to speak to his 4, 6, and 8 year old kids). The female judge entered an order that her affidavit to obtain the TRO was false.
Good news, right? Good for his divorce case?
Nope. In New Hampshire, perjury to obtain a TRO is inadmissible in a subsequent divorce case, by statute.

Totally understand. I keep reading these stories and nothing happens to the women. WOMEN ARE NUTS. I am so sorry that happened to you. It is heartbreaking.
