The Denial About Super Bowl 50 Having a Gay Agenda is Laughable!
It all started with this simple statement. âHow about this: God is Love. I believe we should have had a cross with the same words "Believe in Love" without the rainbow. Got a problem with that?â
Thatâs what I wrote in response to an article written in the Huffington Post the day after the Super Bowl, entitled, âTo Those Bothered By The 'Gay Agenda' At Super Bowl 50.â
If youâre not in the know, a huge rainbow flag with the words, âBelieve in Loveâ was prominently featured at Super Bowl 50 during half time. Some, with their head in the rainbow colored sand, said this had nothing to do with the gay agenda; nothing whatsoever to do with promoting gay marriage.
Writes Tasheka Lavann, author of the article writes: âIn what should have been a heartfelt message to the world about love came a flood of negativity, with halftime show headliner Coldplay being accused of promoting a "gay agenda." The band, along with Beyoncé and Bruno Mars, gave one of the best and most colourful performances the much-anticipated halftime show has ever seen on Sunday. The spectacular display ended with the simple yet powerful message, "Believe in Love," in a sea of rainbow colours. This fueled a reaction that is quite common to members of the LGBT community. To put it gently, the homophobes went to work all across the virtual world. As soon as Coldplay posted the picture on its Facebook page, the bigots and those who just love to hate anything rainbow and anyone queer came out of their holes: (The writer selected some comments to post to the article) "Why can't I just turn on my TV without some gay shit being pushed in my face these days?" "Worst halftime show ever!!!!!" "I knew those Coldplay dudes were fags.""Wow! Are we now promoting a gay agenda during a very important football game? The devil is at work tonight, but God's love is more powerful." I donât agree with using the word âfagâ as it is a gay slur; by the same token I donât like being called a homophobe or bible basher but I see that all the time when I express my opinion of being pro-traditional marriage. However, it is acceptable to bash those who disagree with gay marriage and the gay lifestyle, as we will clearly see from the comments to follow.
Erin Victor · Head Wizard at Ministry of Magic Because your god is a psychopathic megalomaniac that only exists in a book and your head and very bad People use his name to do alot of harm in the world. Worse he can make very good people do very bad things. Religion is greed and control and it doesnt belong in our modern society. It's dying and with it 2000 years of darkness and evil.
This from one who proclaims to be a Wizard. Hmm, I thought that was something in the Harry Potter books. Love the darkness and evil comment, in fact, Jesus spoke of that very thing. Those are exactly the times we are living in right now, darkness and evil, due to people rejecting almighty God.
Alexandra Leon · Mother (religious title) at Stay-at-home parent The god of the bible is a monster worse than any fictional being. Anyone who thinks otherwise has either never read the book, or has been brainwashed to believe he wasn't.
Note the âMotherâ religious title. And Iâve been brainwashed?

Jesus haters, always keepinâ it classy.
Marie Poulaert · Haute Ecole Galilée Mary Kirchhoff You are dillusional lady ...
Spell check much? If youâre going to post, at least take the time to spell correctly. I canât take you or your comment seriously if you canât even do that.
Ian W. Hardison · Store Manager at Lids Mary Kirchhoff 2016 years later and still no Jesus, what's taking so long? Is he stuck in traffic? Stopped at the store for a pack of cigarettes and never came back home? Eaten by a pack of wolves? Where is he at? I get pissed if my pizza is 5 minutes late. You must be real pissed.
All this time I thought Jesus was a non-smoker. Dang. I wouldnât want to be this guyâs partner, pissed when the pizza is five minutes late? I sense some real trouble in his relationships. And cold pizza.
Aynsley Nisbet What's wrong with a rainbow? They are a naturally occurring beautiful thing... Just like a sunrise or sunset. And are these all not beautiful acts of God? If God is the divine being who created the world and everything in it, then he made rainbows too. And what a masterpiece! I'd much rather see his work of art than symbol of our own human ugliness (ie: nailing someone to a cross. That poor man. Why are we so mean...) Let's appreciate God in his truest form. #rainbowsforthewin
You're delusional. The gay pride flag has the intent of promoting acceptance of the gay lifestyle and the tired phrase, "love is love." In no way does that flag promote tolerance and love for people of different faiths, especially bible believing Christians. It promotes the belief that if people don't accept or believe in the gay lifestyle, they are haters. That's not what I'd call "LOVE."
I posed this question to several of my accusers:
Why am I "hating" if I don't agree with your opinion? Can you please explain that?
As of yet, no response.
Several posters said of the SB âflagâ to âget over it.â

I very much have a life. But when I see something so blatantly in my face, I'm going to make noise about it.
A halftime show with political messages? Promoting the gay agenda has no place in a Super Bowl halftime show. So, no, I'm not getting over it.
Laura Wattie Mary Kirchhoff you have the right to call yourself a christian and practice your faith, gay people deserve the right to live their lives free from harassment and violence.
I don't support violence or harassment against gays. However I have the right to reject the gay lifestyle and I should be free to express my opinion. Why is it gays want everyone to be tolerant of their lifestyle and opinion, but my opinion is "wrong" and I should be called out for it, lambasted, and hated. Don't you think that's a double standard?
I'm supposed to accept, without question or complaint, the promotion of the gay lifestyle. Thousands of people at a sporting event holding placards to promote "love." They are not promoting "love." They are promoting the homosexual agenda.
Leslie Bell · Lindsay, Ontario I watched the halftime show and did not ever make a connection to gay pride or marriage equality rights. I thought it was just a message of peace and love for all. Just goes to show how some people are always looking for something to be upset about.
You don't think this was promoting the gay agenda? Even this gay writer saw it for what it was intended to be:
"Super Bowl 50's Pro-Gay Marriage Moment Sends A Beautiful Message About Love Love" http://www.bustle.com/.../140337-super-bowl-50s-pro-gay...
Heather Missen · Edmonton, Alberta Funny thing is that I'm gay and even I didn't pick up on the "pride" thing. My partner said its rainbow colours and when I went back it wasn't in pride color order and so therefore I didn't think that whatsoever. These guys pick apart every commercial that had some hidden agenda, every religious quote they can to back up their theory. Not even worth my time or effort in getting worked up about it. I'm not going to change who I am because they think I should.
See the article above, dear one.
Ryan Nikolaus Carterét · University of British Columbia I genuinely do not understand the backlash about this. For starters, what on earth about this 'promotes homosexuality'!? I personally don't care for football, so I've not seen the actual performance, but from what I see in the thumbnail the colours are entirely arbitrary (and not in the order of the rainbow flag), and since when has 'love' become a dirty word? Isn't it sort of, like...you know, a good thing? Some people just love finding things to complain about. Just live, let live and get on with your own bloody lives.
âLoveâ is not a dirty word. However, the new 21st Century definition of âLoveâ should include âPromoting the gay agenda with a rainbow colored flag.â Letâs be real, folks.
Ryan Guthrie · Woburn Collegiate Institute Thought it was one of the best shoes ever. The message must have been very subliminal because anything to do with LGBT negativity did not occur to me. Lots of paranoia and hate out there. People continue to embarrass me.
Frankly, I didnât notice the shoes. But I would like to see them and perhaps find out where I could buy them. Then again, if they were rainbow colored, I may have to rethink that. (Note to Ryan: proofread before hitting enter.)
Why is it paranoia and hate? I don't hate gays. I'm not paranoid. I'm simply stating my opinion. But if my opinion differs from gay people, or those who agree with the promotion of the gay lifestyle, we are homophobes and haters. Therefore, you must hate straight people and be paranoid that there are so many non-gay people in the world.
And finally: . Michelle Baresh I find it funny that homophobes are upset about this. How about seeing a church on every block. Ancient devices of torture and death proudly displayed. Fanatics knocking on my door, trying to convert my family. I could go on and on. These jerks should concentrate on being deprogrammed from their various cults and learn to be decent human beings.
Thereâs that charming word the pro-gay crowd loves to use: Homophobes. Hereâs how Dictionary.com defines the word:
noun
a person who fears or hates homosexuals and homosexuality.
Now I get it! If I walk down the street, Iâm afraid of getting my ass kicked by a gay person! If I rub up against a gay person, I might turn gay! And hate: I have an extreme aversion to and/or hostility towards gay people. Gosh, Iâm so glad that we have an online dictionary so I can understand exactly how I DONâT feel about gays!
Not only that, Iâm a jerk because I need deprogrammed from Christianity so I can learn how to be a better person. I didnât realize I needed so much help. Friends, pray for me!
And lastly, ancient devices of torture and death proudly displayed? Christians see the cross as a symbol and an act of love, (thereâs that word again!) and gays see the rainbow flag as their symbol, one that promotes the gay lifestyle and gay marriage.
But can you imagine the backlash had their been a Christian Cross on display at the Super Bowl half time show? No worries, it will never happen. Because only the rainbow, and gay love, is acceptable to endorse in our society. Donât take too much âprideâ in being straight. Too many people might get offended.
Didn’t Justin Begayber sign at 1/2 time?
worked with about 2 dozen fruits over my graphics career. not ONE watched football.
let Goodall get his ratings from them.
he can go @#$@#$ himself.
maybe i’ll skip next year .
When Coldplay was on their first song and the lead singer, Chris Martin, was on his knees shaking fans hands, people were wiping his face with rainbow handkerchiefs.
It was gay, gay, gay.
They should be called Coldgay.
I also saw someone on the field with a homo-pride flag.
God did show His rainbow representing never to flood the Earth again. What the reprobates don’t realize is that their sin will be punished.
When the perverts realize that God is not mocked, it will be too late for them.
Those same libtards who decry the Bible as being an evil book never once speak out against Islam or its dead warlord or the horrors done by millions today in his name.
I thought the agenda was breast cancer. What’s in it for me. I’ve got cancer of the prostate-knot too sexy>
The colors and ‘believe in love’ we’re just as likely an ode to the history of San Francisco it was a salute to gay pride. 1967 was called the Summer OF LOVE...because 100,000 hippies took over the Haight Ashbury district of the city.i The colors I saw at half time and the style of the show reminded me of those psychodelic days. Even the part where some of the field performers were twirling umbrellas that looked like flower petals seemed to be a reference to the hit song of 67 from SF. ‘Flowers in her hair’. Are you going to San Francisco....
I was much more appalled by Beyonce’s salute to the Black Panthers
Replace love with penises penetrating anuses.
Because that is all they really believe in.
I hardly expect the Superbowl to be a Christian event. The Superbowl is exactly what it is intended to be: a raw expression of human efforts and emotion apart from Christ. The Crucified One is not found where pride, self-righteousness, self-determination, and self-motivation are in play. He is, in fact, the antithesis of any “Superbowl.”
I suppose we can write and wring our hands over a sporting event intent on pleasuring itself with anything and everything that sates the appetites, but that is not what a disciple is enjoined to do.
The Superbowl had an agenda?
Who knew?
I didn't watch half time.
From what I hear, in addition to thug ball, and thug music and anti-cop thug entertainment, and pro sodomy stuff, what's the point?
I just had the program on for the commercials, and from what I saw this year, even the Budweiser commercials were substandard...
I know what disgusts me without resorting to counterproductive wasted religious fanaticism...
I wonder if a lot of people missed this, because I hadn’t heard anyone talk about it. I only noticed it because it set up a funny debate. In the Mini Cooper commercial, they had some butt-ugly butch woman standing in front of the car saying: “It’s a gay car.”
The following ensued between Franco and my best friend, Dave:
FRANCO: “Hey, they just said that was a gay car in that commercial!”
DAVE: “No they didn’t.”
FRANCO: “Yes they did!”
DAVE: “No they didn’t!”
FRANCO: “YES, THEY DID!”
DAVE: “No way...no way!”
FRANCO: “I’ll bet you five bucks they did.”
DAVE: “No way, you’re on!” (handshake)
(Host rewinds broadcast, replays the commercial. Commercial says “It’s a gay car.” All mouths gaping. Dave pulls five dollar bill out and hands it to Franco.)
Unbelievable.
And here we thought all the gays drove Subarus, LOL
American culture is drenched in faggotry. It’s gradually becoming its most defining characteristic.
well, is it a gay car? :)
Football players get breast cancer?
Seriously?
Things are a lot worse than we thought...
