When I was back in high school, a popular phrase was, “Get a clue.”
When it comes to media and everyone doubting whether Palin is running for president, I can only say, “Get a clue.”
Here are six CLUES for the doubters.

This is war. This is, quite literally, a war for the very heart, soul, and future of our Republic. Sarah is way too smart to give any unneccessary advantage to the vile scum (on either side of "the aisle") who want to destroy her. She wants them to waste their efforts preparing for a no-Palin campaign and then have to suddenly adjust to her presence. In other words, she’s toying with them. For this tactic to be effective, she has to give the very plausible appearance of leaning toward NOT running. Meanwhile, she can prepare under the radar, conserve resources, and scout her competitors.
In her appearance at the preview of "The Undefeated" in Pella, Iowa yesterday. she referred to announcing her candidacy as an "earth shaking decision." She wasn't exagerrating. Think seismic event. Think tectonic plate-shift magnitude 9.0 on the political Richter Scale.
When she announces, the whole game changes. Immediately, and irrevocably. She's gearing up for throwing herself into the lion's den... but you can count on her bringing a .50 caliber Desert Eagle with plenty of Plus-P loads.
Sarah will not run just to make a statement, she'll be running to kick O'Bunghole's boney ass from here to Oahu and back, and then stick her flag in the front lawn at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the next eight years.
She is runniong, and she's doing an amazingly creative and effective job of it. Then again, what else should we expect from The Barracuda?

It's an nteresting concept, but it might be a bit too 'out there' to sell on Main Street. Sarah and Michele are almost interchangeable in some people's minds.

He’s so right Sarah Palin is like the Michael Jordan of the GOP field. When she gets in this race it’s hers to lose. All the other candidates are just B level players or pretenders (Romney) that are seeking to get the nod.
1. The economy.
2. The novelty of Obama has worn off.
3. Palin has killer instincts.
4. She’ll be the youngest and most attractive candidate in the race.
5. She controls the media narrative, he does not anymore.
6. November 2010 happened.

Since you made the "war analogy", I'll take it a bit further. Palin's game is to "wrong foot" the opposition. They expect her to get in, she can't really hide all the preparations. But she can get in in an "unconventional manner" by playing with her technique & timing. IOW's the longer she waits the more convinced they will become that "she won't". Then the trap is sprung.
It's like the Germans thinking that the invasion was coming at the Pas de Calais. OK. Let them think that. Invade Normandy instead.

Spot on as usual. My thought from the start is that Palin must have a man for a running mate. Having an all-woman ticket rattles even my sensibilities -- it's a little too much estrogen for me, and I'm a woman! Of course I'd vote for Palin regardless, but ... an all-woman ticket, in a nation that has not yet had a woman VP, let alone a woman President, smacks just a little to much of "gimmick."
You're obsessed with shooting down Palin. You show up on most Palin threads, and post the exact same talking points, every time.
It's just doesn't appear to be in you to allow a group of like-minded people to have a conversation about a topic they're all passionate about, without you sticking your nose in and trying to rain on their parade.
I think that's an anti-social trait.
I don't support the presidential ambitions of Cain, Bachmann, or any of the others, but I don't go out of my way to find every Cain and Bachmann thread, just so that I can post derogatory, depressing, or demoralizing things about them. Mostly, I just skip past those threads, because I have nothing positive to add to those discussions.
So, why do you feel 'called' to attend ever discussion about Palin on the forum? We Palin supporters have heard what you have to say, over and over and over and over and over, and we have countered your lame talking points every time.
Just what do you think you're accomplishing? What cause could you possibly be serving? Do you really believe that you're achieving anything? What exactly do you gain from all this disruption? Glee? A paycheck? What?

I am trying to prevent a Goldwater style loss, that’s all.
However, in the spirit of the greater good, I.e., the advance of conservatism, I will leave this and other Palin threads for the time being.
In another time, I would have considered that we have a pretty strong field with which to challenge such a weak and failed Democrat president.
With Sarah in the wings - not so much.
Borrowing from your analogy, it's like an All Star game where we have Michael Jordan on our team. The rest are perfectly capable players, and some are even stars in their own right. But Michael is so much better than the rest, that he's simply in a league of his own.
I just cannot imagine our side showing up to the All Star game of politics without our very best player as Captain of the team.

No kidding. The reverberations and tremors from Palin's entry into the race are going to travel around the globe and back again. Several times.
She's going to knock everything else off the front page for a solid week or more. It's going to be all that anyone in the media can talk about.
I can just see Obama way over in the corner going, "Hey! What about ME???" Or, perhaps he'll be locked in the Presidential Boy's Room, crapping bricks. LOL
