I think she may well run, but none of these "clues" is particularly persuasive. Each of these stands just as well for the proposition that it is Palin's business, as well as her pleasure, to become, and remain, a wealthy and influential political thought leader who doesn't run for office herself.

Saying nothing about her actual ability to win, if she doubts her ability to win, than it would be prudent for her not to run. An unsuccessful Presidential general election campaign is not a route to greater prominent or influence. She would most prefer to be the next Ronald Reagan (and, who wouldn't?), but I think she'd prefer thereafter to be the next Rush Limbaugh (and far better than him given her ability to campaign in addition to entertain) than to be the next Michael Dukakis or Bob Dole.

The argument is a bit ahistorical insofar as it takes a high probability of getting the nomination as persuasive evidence that a nomination will be sought. It's been the rule, not the exception, for a cycle to see a strong favorite (sometimes a relatively stronger favorite than Palin) decide for reasons of his own not to campaign. Ted Kennedy in 1972. Jerry Ford for the rematch in 1980. Ted Kennedy again in 1984. Cuomo in 1988 and 1992. Colin Powell in 1996. Al Gore in 2004 and 2008.

Which is why she launched a nationwide star spangled bus tour, filmed a six part mini-series on Alaska, wrote countless articles attacking the Obama regime's policies, got under the regime's skin with tweet after tweet, hired a foreign policy expert, traveled abroad to visit with friends and allies, worked like the dickens to elect conservative candidates to Congress in the midterm elections, spoke at the Reagan Library, and reached out to Stephen Bannon to produce a film about her life and career, which is opening across the country in two weeks.

Yeah...all that, because she wants to be the next Limbaugh.
