As we enter the GOP primary season, I'm starting to notice more and more an annoying trend here in FR. It seems as though everytime there's an article, or someone posts a comment about Romney, either pro or con, it nearly always devolves into an extended, and acrimonious discussion about the Mormon faith. Those who defend it, and those who, for whatever reasons, can't abide it, both sides seem determined to wage an "end of times" batte on all the FR threads. Frankly, I'm tired of it, and just wish it would stop. I think that probably 99% of others here feel the same way.
For years we had a fake Catholic here, GOP_Lady, that made clear that she was a great Catholic, and that Mormons were Christians, and that we were all bigots.
The official stance of her claimed Catholic church meant nothing to her, even the personal pronouncement by her supposed hero, John Paul II on Mormonism meant nothing to her.
That was her way of pushing Mitt Romney the candidate while at the same time attacking the social conservatives here.
Mormons have claimed that Jesus was conceived the regular way, through sexual intercourse between God and mary. Is that disgusting enough for you?
I would bet most Christians would tell you the same thing. It's an inner joy and peace that shows on the outside.
Nice try but didn’t work.
The usual suspects have scared off all the normal people.
Nothing God does is disgusting to me.
Just anti religious fanatics who try to worm thier way into other peoples lives insisting that thier views are the true and only way to some fictional eternal life they believe in

Then I hope you kick the mormon missionaries off your front porch when they come proslytizing...
There are 52,000 of them out knocking on doors...
They dont take NO for an answer either
They are pushy and rude and concentrate on the homes of Christians...
Their 1st name is always Elder..
Its called LOVE BOMBING
I would definately do so. I sent 5 Baptist packing about a month ago.I just don’t put up with it from anybody.
What was his personal pronouncement?
The disgusting part is that mormons say He did it, not that He did it.
So, the act is not disgusting, it is just disgusting to talk about it ...
That Mormon baptism is not Christian, so they must be given a Christian baptism.
You sure sound like that pro Romney troll, GOP_Lady.
You have the typical dumass mormon way of twisting words and attributing things to me that I neither said nor implied.
God did not come down to earth and have sexual intercourse with Mary and if you think He did you are sick and probably mormon.
2007-2008 had some crazy posts
a couple of the Mormon women in these threads wanted to be married to Romney in the next life and have his babies
(as extra wives when he became a god - Mormon belief)
Are we starting to see some of the same ???
Making an idol of Romney 2012 ???
Well no Christian would believe that
There are liars, cheats, thieves, frauds, and scumbags in every religious group, and these types are the most likely to gravitate toward politics, preaching, and used-car sales.
So you dont want to listen to Christians
OK but do you “send the Mormons packing” also ???
And conceived differently than is explained in the Bible. To refresh your memory:I don't remember the Bible explaining how Jesus was conceived.
But the angel [Gabriel] said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.Contrary to the Mormon belief that "heavenly father" impregnated her in the way we are familiar with."The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God."
