As we enter the GOP primary season, I'm starting to notice more and more an annoying trend here in FR. It seems as though everytime there's an article, or someone posts a comment about Romney, either pro or con, it nearly always devolves into an extended, and acrimonious discussion about the Mormon faith. Those who defend it, and those who, for whatever reasons, can't abide it, both sides seem determined to wage an "end of times" batte on all the FR threads. Frankly, I'm tired of it, and just wish it would stop. I think that probably 99% of others here feel the same way.
Nope, never been anti any religion of any kind really. Just anti religious fanatics who try to worm thier way into other peoples lives insisting that thier views are the true and only way to some fictional eternal life they believe in.Y’all have a religion forum, created especialy for discussion of religion. Why don’t you keep it there without infecting the evo or scientific threads where the participants are not interested in your young earth theories?
Whatever, Syncro, you may not recall but we’ve had discussions in the past, mostly you helping me with new changes on FR. I appreciate that but do not appreciate this.
I have called some very dear Mormon women friends. Nobody can tell me they were not Christians. I know a Christian when I see one. God tells me who Christians are and I trust him.
If we want to witness for Christ, it would not be in a hateful way.
Don't leave out the attacks on Evangelicals, and especially the non-Evangelical Protestants, and don't leave out the Muslims.
I just thought of four who visit no other threads than anti-Mormon sites. No political activity at all.
FR is not "advertised" as a Mormon hating site.
Ignorance is what you are showing, conservatives care about religion and the religion and religious beliefs of our candidates, didn't you notice that this site that you come to even has a Religion section?
All of the Christian churches, Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, all agree that Mormonism is a non Christian religion.
Somebody is not hearing the voice of God in regards to Mormonism, either you or the Christian churches.
What do 'Christians' believe to be the relationship between God and Satan? Did God create Satan?
You are clearly anti-Christian,anti-God, and anti-FR.
The owner calls this a proGod site, take it up with him.
I certainly don't remember all the whining and crying about where posts were located in the bad old days when the mormons were proselytizing unhampered every day and blithely setting up others to be banned for daring to disagree with them. Again, there seems to be a move towards it's "free speech for me, but not for thee"...you can tell Romney is back on the campaign trail and prolly spreading some cash around.
This is about the third thread that has been trying to direct JR in how to run his website. I'm not dumb enough to think that he doesn't pretty much keep track of what's going on here, but some folks evidently are.
So says you, God only knows I should believe ansell2 instead of God.
I think I’ll stick with Him.
All of the Christian churches, Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, all agree that Mormonism is a non Christian religion. You think that the Christian religion is wrong about Mormonism? Are you Mormon?
Lol, my point is made.
Lately the LDS has embraced the title “Christian” but in the past venomously opposed it.
I love Mormons.
But Mormonism is a (deceptive) non-Christian belief system, said so by founders, elders, LDS prophets and never recanted.
Everyday Mormons apparently aren't familiar with the history.
Now that it is acceptable to be called Christians, most think they are the same as the main stream Christians. Not so unless they have made that decision apart from their church doctrine and by communicating with the God of the Bible. Not the one in the Book of Mormon.
I do not witness in a hateful way, but none the less by exposing false religious beliefs I have been hated.
No biggie, it goes with the territory.
Thanks for the post.
You have a magnificient gift, God telling you who are Christians. And being able to know a Christian when you see one.
The only point you have is the one on top of your head.
“Ignorance?”...
LOL...
So, Mormons? They have a big stake nearby ~ down the street from the Sikh temple.
Politics happens independently of all that. But I certainly wouldn't forget about any of it. Currently my biggest problem are the Hindus who think the Democrats are the wave of the future ~ it's the tans I think. Gotta' be. The Democrats intend to take away all their money and give it to people who aren't Hindu Fur Shur!
Oh, and did I forget to tell you, Smith hiself excommunicated some of my ancestors ~ that he did ~ just kicked 'em out and left 'em behind. Guess he finally figured out they probably weren't Christians or something, but we'll never know eh!
We consider ourselves Christian and Jesus Considers us Christan.
How do I know? Jesus told me so in answer to prayer to him.

And Jesus told Harold Camping the world was ending on May 21.
Delph, that is not a valid remark to make no matter WHAT your religion.
I would bet most Christians would tell you the same thing. It's an inner joy and peace that shows.
I don't remember the Bible explaining how Jesus was conceived.
