A Kenyan lawmaker told the nation's Parliament last month that Barack Obama was born in Africa and is therefore "not even a native American."
During debate over the draft of a new Kenyan constitution, James Orengo, the country's minister of lands and a member of parliament for the Ugenya constituency, cited America's election of a Kenyan-born president as an example of what can be accomplished when diverse peoples unite:
"If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation," Orengo posited, "how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the president of America?"
Orengo held up the U.S. as a country no longer "living in the past," since Americans elected a Kenyan-born president without regard to "ethnic consideration and objectives."
Debate is then recorded in the Kenyan government's official March 25, 2010, hansard – a traditional name for printed transcripts of a parliamentary debate – as continuing with no other MPs mentioning or attempting to correct Orengo's comments about Obama.

Somehow I just don’t think we’ll get rid of him thru the birth certificate arguement! He seems to have too many socialists protecting every aspect of his life!
Not to be paranoid myself but this was posted at 6:02 pm Sunday April 11th. I got this by accessing another Freepers posts. I could not find it on the page of postings though. Yet replies numbering over a hundred are still continuing.

James Orengo is not the first Kenyan MP to state that Obama was born in Kenya.
He is at least the fourth. !!!!!!!!!!!
Three different Kenyan parliamentarians stated that fact in the Parliament’s minutes on the day after Obama’s election victory in 2008.
Additionally, also not mentioned in the WND article, the Kenyan ambassador to the US said the same thing in an interview with a Detroit radio station that very same day.

Wow -- that is KNOCKS-YOUR-SOCKS-OFF. If anyone has a paper copy of a Weekly Standard reporting that ... man. Then you'd want to find the author and ask him, "Where did you get the info that Obama was born in Kenya?" He might be one of those guys who keeps his files, and it was only 2004, only six years ago.
To me, the Sunday [Weekly] Standard story of June 27, 2004 of "Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful" Obama being "all set for US Senate" is a wallop in the gut. The "birthers" label is embraced by people afraid to buck or bear the possibility of scorn. That fear takes priority over sense and right.
Evidence is strong that Obama is foreign-born, and it's cowardice to pretend otherwise for fear of being teased by other kids.
So Mr. James Orengo would have no problem providing proof of this, right? Like a birth certificate or newspaper clipping. Mr. Orengo could be lying and/or not know what he is talking about.
Obama has the “birthers” right where he wants them: clamoring for a birth certificate that he probably knows exists (and for which he has no legal obligation to show as far as I know), wasting time and money, and looking like complete buffoons. A beautiful way to defeat your political opponents, no?
We can be sure the Israeli’s know who this Kenyan is and every stinkin detail of his Life that he is hiding from AMERICA! How can the PRESS allow a Dirtball to hide his entire past and NOT raise HELL? That is even Scarier than Him Hiding his Stinkin Past!
