Clearing the Smoke on Obama’s Eligibility: An Intelligence Investigator’s June 10 Report
Western Journalism ^ | July 18, 2009

Posted on 10/27/2009 4:33:18 PM PDT by Western Journalism

Editors Note: In December ‘08 a retired CIA officer commissioned an investigator to look into the Barack Obama birth certificate and eligibility issue. On July 21, 2009 westernjournalism.com obtained a copy of the investigator’s report. Here is an unedited version of the report.

June 10, 2009 Report, updated July 18, 2009 The Territorial Public Health Statistics Act in the 1955 Revised Laws of Hawaii

I think that I now understand the legal background to the question of where Obama was born.

Let’s begin with the statement that Dr. Chiyome Fukino, the Director of the Hawaii Department of Health released on October 31, 2008. The television and print media used this statement as a reason to prevent and treat with contempt any investigation into whether Barack Obama was not born in Hawaii. But the language of the statement was so carefully hedged and guarded that it should have had the opposite effect.

“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record. Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.”

Excellent post, many good points. It was WHO the mod pinged, and to what thread he was pinged. Also the fact that it was just a ping. Nothing said FRWW ping. Oh, and that makes you what they call a *birther*. So Buckeye might call his troll posse on you. :P

"This thread is done ... and if it's any indication, so is Free Republic, if this is what it stands for.

Good night all."

Wait! You can't leave without an opus!

I haven't read a good opus in a long time.

Thank you. I saw the original thread and I think it is a good idea. I completely understand now, and I think most of the others do as well. The confusion happened when the moderator just pinged. Had it said FRWW ping, I doubt this thread would have made it past 50 posts.

I agree, it could have been done better. But it was teh first FRWW ping. It just happned to fall on a thread where pre-existing issues reared their ugly heads. Ah well, we'll all get better.

Anyway, got the flu and I am going back to bed.

Speaking of getting better, do it soon.

That’s not true. I believe the BC is BS. I believe he is hiding his entire past because he is an illegitimate president. I think he is hiding many things that would bring him down in short order. I’m not a huge Orly fan, and have said so. I have never been called a BC troll. I don’t dislike Orly, I just think she has no clue what the word discrete means and she shoots her mouth off. Build you case, don’t try it in the press before you ever get into the courtroom. Her mistakes drive me crazy. I admire her tenacity, not her skills as an attorney.
Most of the so called BC “trolls” aren’t just Orly haters. They believe there is no issue with Obongo’s past whatsoever. That he is clean as a whistle.

How can he be Kenyan when he was born in Hawaii?

And that's the problem. We have no proof that he was born in Hawaii. His grandma says he was born in Kenya.

obama could make this whole issue go away if he would just publish open his records. The longer he fights releasing his real birth certificate the more he looks like a foreigner.

All we are asking if for him to prove his eligibility something EVERY other President has done.

I agree with the first point and would like to see the second part proved.

Most of the so called BC “trolls” aren’t just Orly haters.

I cannot imagine so many long-time FReepers are Obama supporters or sinister trolls.

I’m not a huge Orly fan, and have said so.

Neither am I, I think she is a clown. Possibly planted to place a clown's face on the issue.

I just can't accept that anyone who questions the importance
or legitimacy of her "struggle" must therefor be an "Obama Troll".

That's just juvenile.

Wrong. Disputing birther's factual claims about Obama's legal eligibility is not the same thing as saying there's, "no issue with Obongo’s past whatsoever".

Those of us you call "trolls" are simply correcting factual errors that birthers persist in making. We do so because they are wrong, and that's enough. Truth has nothing to do with liking or disliking Obama.

For example, see my next post.

"And that's the problem. We have no proof that he was born in Hawaii. His grandma says he was born in Kenya."

His grandmother does not say he was born in Kenya. That is an urban legend.

A birth certificate is considered legal proof of place of birth. Obama has published one saying he was born in Hawaii, and there are contemporaneous birth announcements in the local papers.

"obama could make this whole issue go away if he would just publish open his records. The longer he fights releasing his real birth certificate the more he looks like a foreigner."

In fact, he could not. Not all the claims would be settled by producing more documents. The only documentation that matters is place of birth, and that document has already been produced. It hasn't mattered.

Also, he's not "fighting" releasing his birth certificate. When he was asked during the campaign, it was provided. All that's happening now is that lawyers are filing the normal procedural responses to lawsuits that they did not start. No suit has reached the stage of looking at evidence.

"All we are asking if for him to prove his eligibility something EVERY other President has done."

Have they? Has every other president done that? Really?

Please show me Bush's or Clinton's or Reagan's birth certificates.

The procedure that was followed in electing Obama was the same procedure that has been followed in electing every other president. Nothing different has happened here.

No. He has published a certificate of live birt. Which does not establish place of birth. Why won't he just release his birth certficate which establishes where he was born?

and there are contemporaneous birth announcements in the local papers.

I've seen birth announcements in my local paper of children I know were born out of state. Those announcments do not establish place of birth

In fact, he could not. Not all the claims would be settled by producing more documents. The only documentation that matters is place of birth, and that document has already been produced. It hasn't mattered.

It's not been released.

Also, he's not "fighting" releasing his birth certificate.

Then why is he filing that the case be thrown out of court before it is even tried? Seems to be "fighting release" to me.

When he was asked during the campaign, it was provided. All that's happening now is that lawyers are filing the normal procedural responses to lawsuits that they did not start. No suit has reached the stage of looking at evidence.

The suit is about being able to look at the evidence.

Have they? Has every other president done that? Really?

Far as I know they have. Of course most of them had birth circumstances that were far less obscured than obama's were in the first place.

Please show me Bush's or Clinton's or Reagan's birth certificates.

Check their presidential libraries or the clerk of courts in their birthplaces. None of them are sealed.

As I said, I have criticized Orly, and I have not been called a troll for doing so. I don’t relentlessly make fun of her for hours on end. I don’t have time to do that and don’t have the desire to do so. I believe the BC is a valid issue and I believe he’s hiding something extremely damaging. I believe he will be exposed but not by Orly. That’s where I stand.

Just verified. President Reagan’s certified copy of his birth certificate is at his presidential library.

George W. bush’s Birth certificate is held at the Texas State Archives being readided for research (so yes it will be available)
