Yahoo has announced it will be removing all content from its free long-running online discussion boards, Yahoo Groups. While Yahoo said in a statement that the Yahoo Groups site will continue to exist, users will no longer be able to upload any new content to the site as of October 21, and from December 14, all previously posted content on the site will be permanently removed. The content that will be affected include files, polls, links, photos, folders, database, calendar, attachments, conversations, email updates, message digest, and message history. "You'll have until that date to save anything you've uploaded," the...
  • How do I get hold of a real person at Homeland Security? - Vanity

Lately someone has started adding me to certain Yahoo groups without my permission. At first I thought it was just gibberish, and I reported it to Yahoo Abuse. FYI: don't bother, they have a computer replying to their email with the same questions over and over that you already answered, nobody even bothers reading your complaints. I tried just leaving the groups myself, but I keep getting added to more of them. On a whim I plugged some of the gibberish into an online translator. It turned out to be a mixture of middle-eastern languages (croatian, slavic, arabic, etc) discussing...

Almojahid's got it wrong.    Haganah is the Hebrew word for "Defense" .... Internet "Terrorist" Using Yahoo to Recruit 600 Muslims for Hack Attack February 28, 2004 by Jeremy Reynalds Editor's note: MND is uncomfortable providing direct links to potential terrorist groups. The links below have been edited to prevent collection by linkbots, but the edits should be obvious to human readers. One of the internet's most verbally prolific Islamic "terrorists" is now advocating hacking sites which oppose his radical views. In an e-mail on his Yahoo Groups site titled "Half Moon Operation/First Attack," Daleel Almojahid asks for people to...

There is a need for moderators for Bush-2004 Yahoo Groups that are being established for each state. While there is a need in most states, there is a particular need to recruit moderators for the Minnesota, New York, and North Carolina groups. Moderating a Yahoo Group is fairly simple. You might want to take a look at the Californians for Bush Yahoo Group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ca4bush2004/ . I moderate that Group, and so far I would say that moderator duties are light. At this point the duties are to promote one's particular Group (recruit new members), post articles of interest to...
