Yahoo has announced it will be removing all content from its free long-running online discussion boards, Yahoo Groups. While Yahoo said in a statement that the Yahoo Groups site will continue to exist, users will no longer be able to upload any new content to the site as of October 21, and from December 14, all previously posted content on the site will be permanently removed. Lately someone has started adding me to certain Yahoo groups without my permission. At first I thought it was just gibberish, and I reported it to Yahoo Abuse. FYI: don't bother, they have a computer replying to their email with the same questions over and over that you already answered, nobody even bothers reading your complaints. I tried just leaving the groups myself, but I keep getting added to more of them. On a whim I plugged some of the gibberish into an online translator.
