There is a need for moderators for Bush-2004 Yahoo Groups that are being established for each state. While there is a need in most states, there is a particular need to recruit moderators for the Minnesota, New York, and North Carolina groups.
Moderating a Yahoo Group is fairly simple. You might want to take a look at the Californians for Bush Yahoo Group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ca4bush2004/ . I moderate that Group, and so far I would say that moderator duties are light. At this point the duties are to promote one's particular Group (recruit new members), post articles of interest to the group that support President Bush's policies, and be on the watch for disruptors. As state groups develop, and as the campaign progresses, the groups will be used to recruit volunteers for participation in campaign activities.
If youre interested in moderating the Group for your state, first go to http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1004212/posts and click your state from the list on the thread, then join the group.
Secondly, freepmail PhiKapMom and me to let us know of your interest. (Your email address would be helpful too, as well send you an further thoughts and suggestions in getting your state Bush Yahoo Group up and running).
Thanks for your consideration.

It's free. Yahoo pays for their entire system by selling obnoxious pop-up ads on their sites.

Wow. Not a bad chunk of change. I'm sure the Yahoo gig is a freebie. But just imagine how good it'll look on a resume...... LOL! ;-)

No interviews. All you have to be is committed to Pres. Bush's re-election, and willing to take responsibility for your state's site, promote participation (a lot you'll get from Freepers), and as the campaign gears up, provide those members with opportunities for involvement in the campaign.

Right now, I'm the only one logged into the FR chat system on Yahoo, so it made me the moderator......
