Two years after their shockingly great 50th anniversary album, Good Times! — which gave them their highest showing on the Billboard album chart since 1968 — the Monkees have returned to the studio to cut Christmas Party, their first holiday album. Set for release October 12th, the album is produced by Fountain of Wayne’s Adam Schlesinger, with new vocals by surviving Monkees Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork along with vintage recordings of the late Davy Jones.

"Pit bull adoption bans do not reduce dog bites or dog severity, but they do kill a lot of dogs (and, according to an article in the Washington Post, are likely motivated by racism). They are, however, supported by Merritt Clifton. Indeed, a columnist for The Huffington Post called Clifton “the academic impostor behind the pit bull hysteria”.

The remarkable life of the Hollywood siren who pioneered groundbreaking scientific inventions that paved the way for wifi and Bluetooth will be told in a new film. Hedy Lamarr, considered by her show business peers to be the most beautiful woman in the world during the 1940s and 50s, starred alongside the likes of Spencer Tracy, James Stewart and Clark Gable during her glittering acting career. But she was also a brilliant scientist who helped devise a frequency-hopping system which eventually formed the foundation for modern technologies such as wifi, GPS and Bluetooth.

The Ravens faced a bit more scrutiny for their national anthem protest on Sunday in Baltimore. Last week, some Ravens took a knee and locked arms with while the anthem was played in London before a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Today, the team decided to go the Dallas Cowboys route a la "Monday Night Football." The team came out before the anthem and took a knee to a chorus of boos from fans at M&T Bank Stadium. Then the team stood for the playing of the "Star Spangled Banner."

The biggest soccer stars in the world are known by one name: Pele. Ronaldo. Messi. The United States has never produced that kind of world-class talent, but a 19-year-old from Hershey, Pennsylvania, is poised to change that. Christian Pulisic is not only the youngest player on the U.S. National Team, he may just be the best American to ever play the game. This week, Pulisic will play with Team USA as it tries to qualify for the World Cup. For the last two years, he's been playing professionally with one of the most revered clubs in Europe. We spent time...

Atheism, the rejection of the possibility that “God” exists, has become the dominant thought amongst intellectuals in the past century and has been around longer than most people think. For over 2000 years, it was based on philosophical arguments that can roughly be summed up as the atheist saying, “I don’t know how ‘X’ came to be, but you can’t prove it came from God.” This mindset has been highly effective because it places the burden of proof on the theist to prove the positive of God’s existence, which, superficially, is impossible to do – because no evidence exists that...

Almost all Christian denominations can be traced to 3 main traditions - the Catholic, the Protestant, and the Eastern Orthodox traditions. All three traditions are based on the Bible. Mormonism is a religion that has a heritage that is very different from traditional Christianity, and is based on the Book of Mormon. The theological differences that separate a Baptist from a Catholic, are not the same as those which separate a Baptist from a Mormon, or a Catholic from a Mormon. In a dispute between a Baptist and a Catholic, they will argue over whether Church tradition prevails over scripture...

I know I am fairly new here to FR, and I feel weird posting this. But FR has become a sort of therapy for me in this time of craziness, so I am hoping you wil all pray for me. I fear for my soul because I am so filled with hate for the President of United States (and all those who aid, abet and coddle him). I know hate is a terrible sin. It doesn't matter how bad a person is, it's not up to us to judge them. That's God's job. Jesus told us to pray for our...

Yes it is amazing that Americans are ready to buy that pig because the Washington Whores put lipstick and a tootoo on the Medical commissions. Zero and his Medical Fascist had to back off (really?) the Care Commission. But how did they get around it? By putting it in Congresses hands. NO agencies and departments on the block. MILITARY and HEALTHCARE. The can claim it's only Medicare. But according to Obamacare Eveyone must be covered by the Obamacare T-4 Program. WHEN in the H will Americans get a CLUE?

Rosie O’Donnell has teamed with syndication vets Dick Robertson and Scott Carlin to develop another daytime talk show, according to the Hollywood Reporter. With The Oprah Winfrey Show preparing to sunset next year, O’Donnell is hoping to launch a new yakker that could conceivably fill the bill in the fall of 2011. Dick Robertson, the former head of syndication of Warner Bros. Television, and Scott Carlin, who worked with Robertson there for years, have sealed a deal to distribute O'Donnell's new talk show, which will probably premiere in fall 2011. Robertson and Carlin worked closely with O'Donnell on her first...

LOS ANGELES — Hollywood suffered its first major flop of the year over the weekend with the debut of the expensive Iraq thriller “Green Zone,” which sold an anemic $14.5 million in tickets at North American theaters. Despite playing in more than 3,000 theaters, “Green Zone,” starring Matt Damon and directed by Paul Greengrass (“The Bourne Ultimatum”), was a distant second to Walt Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland.” That fantasy film was No. 1 for the second weekend in a row, with about $62 million in ticket sales for a new total of $208.6 million...Universal’s new leaders have pushed hard to...

Westlake, OH - Residents in Westlake are protesting the shooting death of a Yellow Labrador retriever named Callaway. Fox News 8 has a full story and video of the rally. Callaway, along with 2 other portly Labradors, were able to push open a door at their upscale home, setting off a burglar alarm. The responding police officer, Mark Morales, claims to have been charged by Callaway. His response? He shot and killed the dog. Protesters are outraged that the officer used deadly force on the dog, rather than alternatives, such as a night stick or mace. Most of the people...

It's official: Vaccines don't cause autism, rules a special U.S. court. But will it put an end to parents’ dangerous fear of inoculating—or only make them more skeptical? On Friday a special “vaccine court” charged with adjudicating claims against vaccine makers ruled that there was no causal connection between childhood vaccines and autism. The court—formally known as the Office of Special Masters of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims—was created by Congress in the 1980s to centralize lawsuits brought for injuries resulting from vaccination. The court labored in obscurity until recently, when it began to hear cases involving autistic children...
