Locals and tourists came to Alpine Park Saturday to pet, admire, and kiss seven wolves and wolf/dogs. The animals were visiting from the WolfWood Refuge and Adoption Center, a state-licensed non-profit refuge for wolves and wolf/dogs in Ignacio. Paula Watson, who owns WolfWood with her husband, Craig, said children "are going to vote someday, so educating them about animal care is important."
