Long Branch, NJ police in full riot gear were dispatched to the vicinity of Pier Village Saturday night after a Juneteenth celebration turned violent. Two African-American knockout-style attackers in Charlottesville were immediately released on their own recognizance and only charged with a misdemeanor after an assault on a man and woman in a downtown shopping mall on December 20.
