Ground controllers for one of NASA's most successful planetary probes will bid a fond farewell Sunday to Galileo, a spacecraft that spent the better part of eight years studying Jupiter and its moons. The Galileo probe will create its own funeral pyre as it burns up in the Jovian atmosphere, a fiery end to its 14 years of space travel. NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Reuters launched an Internet service Wednesday to offer unnarrated war-related video footage and live news conferences, government briefings and other events. The service is free but is expected to become a paid offering in the future, the company said. The new offering "captures the scale of Reuters editorial operation and unrivaled expertise of our reporting team in and around Iraq," said Rich Sabreen, an executive vice president at Reuters. I'll apologize in advance because I dislike VANITY posts however they are often helpful to us Freepers. This is my first VANITY post. I am curious if anyone is aware of any live streaming news captioning, text only, internet resources? My reasoning for this is that I'm in an open cube environment at work and I'd rather read/skim what is being webcast instead of being plugged into headphones or straining to hear my PC speaker.
