Many find it shocking the Department of Justice (DOJ) could be capable of ginning up false allegations against a former president in a previous election and would again do the same prior to the 2024 election. This shock, however, is a mark of just how drastically conservatives have failed to recognize the long decline of the DOJ and its ultimate transformation into a political subsidiary of a radicalized Democratic Party. Conservatives would do well to observe seminal moments that have led the country’s top law enforcement entity to its present dire state. In that review, all roads ultimately lead back...

While FASTag was seen as a transformative step to overcome various toll hurdles, the initiative doesn't have everyone's blessings. Ever since, FASTag was made mandatory for vehicles, there have been frequent commotions between locals and toll companies over concession. There has also been a growing demands of locals wanting a toll-free service as another option. However, as such a drastic rule change seems far from simple, it has led to people taking matters into their own hands. Tired of paying toll tax, villagers in coastal Karnataka, used a bulldozer to construct a 'parallel' road to bypass the booth. The residents...

A Sumatran tiger hangs, dead and disemboweled, from a ceiling in a public hall in a remote village in northern Indonesia. A photograph shows the lifeless animal strapped to a wooden plank — and dozens of villagers crowded around to see it. It’s not certain why the critically endangered animal was slain Sunday in a village in North Sumatra, but local news reports say it had mauled at least one or two residents who had followed it to its lair — to determine whether it was a mythological, supernatural being. The Jakarta Post reported that superstitious villagers feared it was a...

Operating from a small US Special Forces base on a snow-speckled field here is a newly minted US ally who represents either a brighter future or everything that is wrong with Afghanistan’s troubled past. The former Afghan insurgent is despised by the head of the provincial council, who calls him “a thief, a kidnapper and out of control.” He is disparaged by police, who view him as a dangerous fighter and dissolute hash smoker. But to the US military, Noor ul Haq’s past means less than his willingness to fight the Taliban. In these dangerous villages of northern Afghanistan’s Baghlan...
