Another US bishop says abortion is ‘preeminent issue’ in this election ‘The right to life itself must be given our paramount consideration so that people can have the chance to secure all the other benefits that life can afford,’ wrote Diocese of Cleveland Bishop Edward Malesic. CLEVELAND, Ohio, October 3, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Another bishop in the United States has explicitly stated that abortion is the “preeminent issue” in the upcoming election. Bishop Edward C. Malesic of Cleveland explained that the consistent teaching of the Church “regarding the intrinsic evil of abortion seeks to secure all other rights as well....

Imagine California being “too close to call” for Donald Trump vs. his Democratic opponent on election night in November of 2020. That, in essence, is what happened in the United Kingdom Thursday night with an enormous, and historic, win for Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party. This movement of the political tectonic plates will surely cause a tsunami of reaction across the pond, here in the U.S., as well around the world.

Hillary won a plurality, nothing more, but lost the election. That's the way it is. I am quite fascinated with the obsession the Left currently has with the popular vote for President. As usual this is a matter of expediency, desperation to get their own way given the results of the election, and the usual public deception for how our system actually works. There certainly isn’t a shred of principle involved. So let’s investigate this a bit. We are a Republic, thank God, not a Democracy, so the popular vote is irrelevant to presidential elections. It simply doesn’t matter, it...

Two questions. 1. David Cameron has lumped Boris Johnson in with the Eurosceptic. Why? Boris is mayor of London, a city that depends on EU access to make its money. Has anyone seen good commentary on Boris and the opt out vote? 2. The UK will vote on the EU membership question in June. The Murdoch vehicle WSJ came out yesterday in the weekend edition in favor of an exit. Impact on the US election?

Throughout the world, wars are raging, dictatorships are suppressing individual freedoms, millions of people are hungry and too many are dying due to inadequate medical care. With so many worldwide problems to address, officials from the United Nations (U.N.) should be focused on ways to help people living under tyrannical rule or suffering from impoverished conditions. I

Earlier this month, Obama made his first official move to corrupt and undermine the 2010 elections. The move consisted in the little noticed appointment of a technical adviser to the Technical Guidelines Development Committee (TGDC) of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC). The importance of the appointment was explained at The Brad Blog last Monday. The Official Press Release of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission read as follows: U.S. ELECTION ASSISTANCE COMMISSION 1225 New York Ave. NW – Suite 1100 Washington, DC 20005 For Immediate Release December 11, 2009 Contact: Jeannie Layson Sarah Litton (202) 566-3100 New Technical and Scientific...

I finally found the article that I was looking for regarding a Venezuelan software firm with no experience in elections being involved in the last election fiasco in Venezuela. I suppose it was only a fiasco if you voted against Hugo Chavez. The point of this article was that two software engineers got a loan from the Venezuelan government and started a voting software company called Smartmatic. This company subsequently bought a US voting machine manufacturer called Sequoia. I don't know how to automatically link to the article above, (Tim Golden,NYT,29OCT06), but it goes into much more detail.

GENEVA (Reuters) - A special U.N. human rights investigator will visit the United States this month to probe racism, an issue that has forced its way into the race to secure the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. The United Nations said Doudou Diene would meet federal and local officials, as well as lawmakers and judicial authorities during the May 19-June 6 visit. "The special rapporteur will...gather first-hand information on issues related to racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance," a U.N. statement said on Friday. His three-week visit, at U.S. government invitation, will cover eight cities -- Washington D.C., New York,...

Eying the results so far in the U.S. presidential primary race, Mexican President Felipe Calderon said he is hopeful that the next administration in Washington will usher in reforms that would legalize the status of Mexican immigrants. “It seems to me that the most radical and anti-immigrant candidates have been left behind and have been put in their place by their own electorate,” Calderon told the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday, the day after the Super Tuesday primaries. “My hope is that whoever the next president is, and whoever is in the new Congress, will have a broader and more...

The perfect divine truth and justice of Allah, instituted in the 7th century in Arabia unfortunately hasn’t yet graced the land of America, which Allah has made so resourceful with his bounty. It is still dominated and dictated by the vile Jews, Christians and worst of all, the atheists. Keith Ellison clearly has a firm mission for establishing the divine plan of Allah in the American soil.

What if Democrats win ONE can imagine Democrats regaining the White House after the 2 November elections. After all, they have a 50:50 chance, as the aggregate results of all opinion polls show. Will this disappoint the authorities, the political community and society of Russia? If not, what prompted President Vladimir Putin to make statements a few weeks ago that could be interpreted as support for Bush? “If we come to power, we should be friends and partners’’, a most charming Democrat on a trip to Moscow said recently. But then he asked his Russian colleagues with a smile, why...

The final phase of George Bush's bid for re-election will commence with a convention orchestrated around his folksy style but portraying him as a tough leader who has waged a highly effective war on terror. Mr Bush will spend part of his time setting out a second-term domestic agenda, including an ambitious plan to part-privatise social security, but above all Republican speech-writers will style him as far better equipped than John Kerry, the Democratic challenger, to protect America's national security. That was his message as he campaigned on Saturday in the pivotal swing state of Ohio. It has also been...

.....A CBS/New York Times survey released last week showed that approval of Bush's handling of the war plummeted to 41%, dragging his overall approval rating below the 50% level that historically marks the dividing line between presidents who win reelection and those who don't. Those numbers are certain to fluctuate in the months ahead. Yet they underscore the threat to the president. The centerpiece in his case for reelection is that he has been a resolute and effective manager in the war on terrorism. His signature contribution to that war has been the invasion of Iraq. Last week's poll numbers...
