Santa Monica-ARC Entertainment, the distributor of “The Undefeated,” and Victory Film Group, producers of the film about Gov. Sarah Palin’s rise from obscurity to national prominence, jointly announced that beginning today September 1st, the film is available to 75 million homes via Video on Demand and Pay-Per-View access through national and regional cable and satellite operators. Taking on the political establishment, The Undefeated chronicles Governor Sarah Palin’s rise from obscurity to become one of America’s new generation of leaders. • Palin movie opens in Tyler, draws crowd

TYLER — The new Sarah Palin movie opened in Tyler today. The film, The Undefeated, is a two-hour long documentary featuring Palin supporters, residents of Alaska and conservative bloggers. The turnout for the 2:30 p.m. showing today sold out. Times Square decided to add an additional theater to accommodate the crowd, and that one almost filled up too. The film has been shown in 14 cities across the country so far. Tyler is the third Texas town to show the film, including Grapevine and Houston. Palin hasn't announced she's running for the presidency just yet, but has plenty of east...

The Undefeated, the Sarah Palin documentary, isn't what you'd call a summer blockbuster. In fact, the sympathetic biography flopped in theaters, grossing only $175,000 at the box office. In Iowa, where the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee seems to be laying the groundwork for a presidential bid, just a few have seen it. Iowa Palin organizer Peter Singleton puts the number of screenings at "dozens," but "less than 100." And, adds Singleton, only a "handful of people" have attended each showing. For anybody else, that would spell disaster. If Tim Pawlenty ended his presidential hopes after...

Recently, David Axelrod announced that President Obama would start targeting would-be Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney via various types of media. The tenor of the announcement made it sound like they were doing the smart thing: going after the presumptive candidate instead of wasting time going after other candidates who might not have a chance of securing the nomination. ...

  • Director focuses on the power of Palin: Show audiences that Palin isn't just some 'Caribou Barbie'

"The Undefeated" could be considered an interesting title for a film about Sarah Palin, a woman who lost the 2008 presidential campaign as Sen. John McCain's running mate. To filmmaker and Laguna Beach resident Stephen K. Bannon, the title is far from ironic. "The reason I wanted to make it was that I was tired of people on Wall Street and in Washington calling her 'Caribou Barbie'," he said. The documentary, which opened in theaters July 15, follows Palin's entry into the American political landscape — her time as the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, her stint as governor, her designation...

Charleston City Paper ^ | August 9, 2011 | Jack Hunter and Kevin Young
City Paper contributors and movie-going pals Jack Hunter and Kevin Young saw The Undefeated, the documentary about Sarah Palin, last week, and offered us their takes on the film. Hunter, as you know, is the Southern Avenger, helming our conservative column. Young, on the other hand, is more into horror films and less into Ron Paul, leaving them with different perspectives. Kevin Young's take: Sitting in the theater watching The Undefeated, it became apparent that my mission — to judge the Sarah Palin documentary as a regular moviegoer and not as a pinko-commie-leftist with an ax to grind — was...
  • Parallels between Captain America, Palin

I overheard someone the other day say that he had finally seen a movie that had “gotten it right.” It was the new movie, “Captain America,” which is about a skinny, young guy from Brooklyn, N.Y., who becomes a super hero. I saw a different movie the other day that I thought had gotten it right, too. It was the new film “The Undefeated,” which is a documentary about Sarah Palin. Both heroes in these movies found ways to help by doing the right thing. Mrs. Palin very effectively used government, as a mayor and a governor, to create prosperity...

It's no secret that CNN's Jack Cafferty possesses a deep-seated loathing of Sarah Palin, and now that she may run for the Republican presidential ticket the grumpy CNN contributor has one more thing to grumble over. "Palin recently said she plans to decide about 2012 in late August or September. God help us," Cafferty bemoaned Wednesday on The Situation Room. He fretted that the entry of Palin or Donald Trump into the Republican presidential race "would tend to fit nicely with the political insanity we've been watching the last couple of weeks." (VIDEO AT LINK) Cafferty found reason to cheer...

Former Alaska Governor and likely presidential candidate Sarah Palin came in second and third in national surveys conducted recently by The Washington Post/ABC and Gallup, respectively. But what if her potential impact in an election could be measured by more unconventional methods--such as merchandise sales and movie tickets sold? If the demand for Palin-themed merchandise on CafePress.com and a documentary, titled “The Undefeated, about her are any indication, it may be more accurate to measure how potential voters spend their money, especially in a struggling economy, than how they answer a pollster’s questions. “The GOP candidate pick revealed by the...

The pro-Sarah Palin documentary, The Undefeated, suffered another huge drop in ticket sales over the weekend, earning just over $5,000. Last weekend, the distributor pared things down and ran the film in only four theatres, which should have raised its per theatre average, even while reducing ticket sales. Well, overall ticket sales did, indeed, fall, but so did sales/theatre, which were just $1,300 last weekend -- its worst performance since opening.

MASON CITY — Toni Hagen of Mason City will be hostess for three showings Saturday of a new political film, “The Undefeated,” which promotes former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. The film had its premiere in Pella last month with Palin in attendance. Hagen, a volunteer with a grassroots effort called Organize4Palin, has an advance copy of the film for private screenings and will be showing it at her home in Mason City at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m. Saturday. ST. LOUIS • The conservative political conference coming to town this weekend will feature several influential Republican women, but perhaps the most popular of them will appear only on film. On Friday and Saturday, the downtown Crowne Plaza will host the annual conference for Smart Girl Politics Action, a non-profit dedicated to "engaging, educating and empowering conservative women." Slated to appear are some of the most prominent GOP women in local politics: Sarah Steelman, Ann Wagner, Dana Loesch and, of course, Phyllis Schlafly. Several well-known Republicans males have been invited to speak as well, including Peter Kinder and Herman Cain....

Producer Stephen Bannon The Chicago screening of a new Sarah Palin documentary Saturday was a political love fest for her conservative supporters. But Tea Party members weren’t the only ones who came away from the film with admiration for the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential candidate. Eddie Bryant, who attended the screening of “The Undefeated” at downtown’s Gene Siskel Film Center, is an African-American and Chicago Democrat. The retired 67-year-old Union Pacific employee said he was surprised to find he actually likes Palin. “I came because my friend is always talking about Sarah Palin. People say this lady is...

"The Undefeated," the documentary about Sarah Palin, appears to have suffered box office defeat. The film opened in 10 locations last week and upped its exposure to 14 cities this weekend. But Reuters today reports that even as the number of screening venues increased, box office revenue has declined by more than 63 percent. It grossed only $24,000 this past weekend.

The movie, distributed by ARC Entertainment, is in the midst of a limited theatrical release, with plans to be announced this week for more screens in a run through August and September, said the film's writer and director, Stephen Bannon. The Undefeated, the controversial film documenting Sarah Palin's rise from obscurity, is expanding its release to include regular screenings at the AMC Barrett Commons 24 Theatre in Kennesaw. Filmmaker Stephen Bannon personally attended last Friday's premiere in Kennesaw, one of 10 cities to exclusively debut the film. After two sold-out screenings last week, AMC 24 will begin showing the film five times a day, starting today. “The reason I really wanted to make (the film) was because there was this meme out there that she was Caribou Barbie, a bimbo and an ideologue," Bannon told Kennesaw Patch last weekend. "The...
  • Can 'The Undefeated' make Palin a 2012 winner?

    The Minneapolis Star-Tribune ^ | July 22, 2011 | John Rash
Like most documentaries, the new film about Sarah Palin that premiered in June in Minneapolis is ostensibly about the past. Mostly focusing on Palin's political career in Alaska, "The Undefeated" portrays a crusader clashing with the governing GOP establishment and big-oil interests -- fights that earned her the highest approval rating of any governor in the country at the time. Of course we all know "The Undefeated" is really about the future. Of Palin's political prospects in 2012, sure. But more important, said the documentary's director, Steven Bannon, the film allows Palin to redefine herself. "The meme was so set...
