Jack Cafferty Quivers Over Possible Palin Run: 'God Help Us'
NewsBusters ^ | August 3, 2011 | Matt Hadro

It's no secret that CNN's Jack Cafferty possesses a deep-seated loathing of Sarah Palin, and now that she may run for the Republican presidential ticket the grumpy CNN contributor has one more thing to grumble over.

"Palin recently said she plans to decide about 2012 in late August or September. God help us," Cafferty bemoaned Wednesday on The Situation Room. He fretted that the entry of Palin or Donald Trump into the Republican presidential race "would tend to fit nicely with the political insanity we've been watching the last couple of weeks."

(VIDEO AT LINK)

Cafferty found reason to cheer up a bit when he reported the poor box office results of Palin's documentary film "The Undefeated." In the past, he has resorted to replaying his previous rants about Palin and featuring criticisms from her ex-aide, as well as saying he'd eat a building if she became President.

During his Wednesday diatribe, he also called Palin the "I quit after half-a-term" governor. "The 'I quit after half-a-term' governor of Alaska says the U.S. needs a 'restoration of all that is good and strong and free,' whatever the hell that means," Cafferty growled.

A transcript of the segment, which aired on August 3 at 6:17 p.m. EDT, is as follows:

JACK CAFFERTY: Wolf, with the 2000 [sic] election sneaking ever so closer – ever so closer, that's not right, but it's coming up – there is still a chance that Sarah Palin and Donald Trump might throw their hats in the ring. Which would tend to fit nicely with the political insanity we've been watching the last couple of weeks.

(...)

As for Sarah Palin, she'll be keeping herself in the spotlight when she headlines a Tea Party rally near Des Moines, Iowa over Labor Day weekend. The "I quit after half-a-term" governor of Alaska says the U.S. needs a "restoration of all that is good and strong and free,” whatever the hell that means.

The September appearance will mark Palin's second in Iowa this year. In late June, she and her husband attended the premiere of a pro-Palin documentary film titled "The Undefeated." Well, the film has been soundly defeated at the box office, where it counts. The movie opened nationwide in the middle of July and earned a lousy $5,000 this past weekend, the worst performance yet. The popcorn stand at the theater took in more money. Palin recently said she plans to decide about 2012 in late August or September. God help us.

Here’s the question: Are Sarah Palin and Donald Trump the answer to the country's problems?

Jack, The Undefeated was made for DVD and PPV so it'd get out to millions of people. It wasn't made to compete with Harry Potter and that kind of movie. BTW, hope you don't drink as much as you did in Des Moines when I knew you, that's bad for your liver.

I believe the gubernatorial resignation will doom what chance Palin might have had for the 2012 nomination if she does run.

For maximum insanity impact on the Left, I would like to see Palin/Bolton.

No other combination could come close to precipitating as much hysteria on the Left.

Jack is also a hit and run drunk who ran down a bicylist in NYC when boozed out of his mind. But friends in high places work wonders for getting the charges reduced.

“CNN Anchor Cafferty Pleads Guilty
Aug 5, 2003

By Karen Freifeld

August 5, 2003, 3:37 PM EDT

Like most journalists, CNN morning anchor Jack Cafferty would prefer to cover news than make it. Especially when it’s bad news.

But Tuesday, a stunned Cafferty was greeted by photographers as he went into a midtown Manhattan court to plead guilty in connection with a hit and run accident.

According to the criminal complaint, Cafferty was driving a Cadillac with a New Jersey Press license plate on Ninth Avenue near 42nd Street May 14th when he allegedly made an abrupt turn and hit bicyclist Billy Maldonado.

About five people tried to stop Cafferty by running after the car, waving their arms and yelling, “Hey Stop,” according to the complaint, but the newsman allegedly continued through at least two red lights, while dragging the bicycle underneath the vehicle.

Maldonado, who was knocked to the ground, suffered bruises.

Cafferty was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, assault and harassment.”

You're right.

Just like Obama serving only two years of his six year Senate term doomed him.

With Cafferty CNN has the angry old drunk demographic really well represented. Too bad it has no conservatives.

Jack is such a scaredy cat, let her run and then if she is such a failure and an idiot, she will lose.

If you understand why she resigned, then you would not hold that against her.

She didn’t quit, she was forced out by loonies and their countless frivolous ethics complaints against her. Any responsible person would have done the same in the same situation. She did it for Alaska and it was the right thing to do.

Regarding Cafferty, it is going to be fun watching him eat his guts out when Palin announces.

One of the terrors these guys have is that a conservative won’t jump through the global banksters’ hoops and if they don’t jump through the hoops, the banksters will enter into full blown economic warfare against the US.

The other concern is that if (or when) everything crashes, what if they don’t have a player who will permit the IMF to run the country. Rather, we go the way of Iceland and let the bond investors in the US debt and the Fed to go belly up (they made a stupid investment), use our resources to pay off the bonds of foreign governments and start over without socialism or the IMF/UN control.

They desparately need a player since their race horse Obammy is limping along. This is what terrorizes them about the Tea Party.

Have you seen The Undefeated or read any of the hundreds of threads here about the ethics law in Alaska?
