I'm watching the TZ marathon on SyFy. The current episode, "A Most Unusual Camera" is from 1960 and looks like it was shot on videotape. Did they do that back then? Looks like a cheesy soap opera.

The illuminating, exoterical, astronomical George Clayton Johnson has died. The genius science-fiction writer behind so much of what we’ve all watched and enjoyed has passed on to his next adventure. George Clayton Johnson wrote the very first episode of Star Trek, The Man Trap; he wrote eight original Twilight Zone episodes for series creator Rod Serling including "Nothing in the Dark", "Kick the Can", "A Game of Pool", and "A Penny for Your Thoughts". In 1960, while he was one of the proprietors of Cafe Frankenstein (seen as sort of a "den of iniquity" by the uptight) in Laguna Beach,...

I don't know if the following TZ episode list is 100% accurate, in terms of air dates, etc. In any case, my top 3 favorites in the western category are: The Grave, The 7th Is Made Up of Phantoms, and Mr. Garrity and the Graves. Other 'western' episodes are: Mr. Denton on Doomsday, (The) Execution, Dust, A Hundred Yards Over the Rim, and Still Valley. Of the 'Space' episodes, my top 3 are: People Are Alike All Over, The Lonely, and The Little People. To Serve Man was a great one too, IMHO. Other assorted favorites (in order of listed...

Let’s recap today’s top news stories: Flight 370, the Malaysian Boeing 777 is still missing, butt apparently we have no clue when, or where, exactly it went missing. I’m afraid this new information can lead us to only one conclusion: Flight 370 was hijacked by space aliens. Cue the music. You are traveling through a new dimension… Barry is considering using his phone and his pen (sound and shadow?) to require overtime pay for previously exempt employees. I found this particular old time radio episode very reminiscent of themes in Star Trek, Outer Limits, Ray Bradbury, and Twilight Zone. Furthermore, it was very interesting to hear about the "Holodeck" and distopian, robotic, disassociated society the family lives in. I think you will find the same similarities and more, and look forward to comments. You can find this episode at http://archive.org. I posted the original podcast link to give props to the podcast that put this one online for their show.

After days of ridicule for launching a conspiracy theory-fueled investigation into Barack Obama’s birth certificate, Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett on Tuesday backed off his threat to keep the president off the ballot in November and apologized to his state. “If I embarrassed the state, I apologize, but that certainly wasn’t my intent,” Bennett said in an interview with Phoenix radio station KTAR. “He’ll be on the ballot as long as he fills out the same paperwork and does the same things that everybody else has.” Bennett said he still intends to keep asking Hawaii for verification that Obama’s...
