THE PRESIDENT: Thank you all very much. (Applause.) General Metcalf, thanks, thanks for welcoming me back here. I am really pleased to be back to Wright-Patt, and it's great to be on the inside of the National Museum of the United States Air Force, which is a fabulous place. I hope our fellow citizens come and see it. It is a great tribute to the airmen who've flown the missions and secured the skies, and defended America's freedom. I want to thank the folks who maintain this shrine. I thank you for giving me a place to park Air Force...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Here's how difficult it's going to be for Barack Obama to keep race out of his campaign. When you've got idiots like the haughty John Kerry (who served in Vietnam) out campaigning for you, you're rolling the dice. (laughing) Last Monday, Kerry did an interview with the New Bedford Standard-Times. It's in Massachusetts, the New Bedford Standard-Times editorial board, and of course they taped him. An unidentified reporter said, "Why would you say that? What gives Obama credibility on that score?" Kerry had said that Obama's blackness and Muslim background is his main qualification for office, and...

This weekend, families across America are coming together to celebrate Easter. This is the most important holiday in the Christian faith. And during this special and holy time each year, millions of Americans pause to remember a sacrifice that transcended the grave and redeemed the world. Easter is a holiday that beckons us homeward. This weekend is an occasion to reflect on the things that matter most in life: the love of family, the laughter of friends,...

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you all. Deputy Secretary England, thanks for the introduction. One boss may not be here, but the other one is. (Laughter.) I appreciate your kind words. I'm pleased to be back here with the men and women of the Defense Department. On this day in 2003, the United States began Operation Iraqi Freedom. As the campaign unfolded, tens and thousands of our troops poured across the Iraqi border to liberate the Iraqi people and remove a regime that threatened free nations. Five years into this battle, there is an understandable debate over whether the war was worth...

Here is the transcript: We the people, in order to form a more perfect union. Two hundred and twenty one years ago, in a hall that still stands across the street, a group of men gathered and, with these simple words, launched America's improbable experiment in democracy. Farmers and scholars; statesmen and patriots who had traveled across an ocean to escape tyranny and persecution finally made real their declaration of independence at a Philadelphia convention that lasted through the spring of 1787....

RUSH: I have to go back, folks, I cannot let this end with what we did yesterday, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the spiritual advisor to Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama. I have been paying attention to the news media, the Drive-Bys, the mainstream media. These people are so in the tank they ought to be embarrassed. Their job is to ferret out stuff like this and hold the candidates, whoever they are, accountable. He's getting, Obama is, a total pass. In fact, the Drive-By Media mantra on Obama's pastor now seems to be, this is guilt by association. Obama didn't...

For Immediate ReleaseOffice of the Press SecretaryMarch 15, 2008 President's Radio Address President's Radio Address Audio En Español In Focus: EconomyTHE PRESIDENT: Good morning. On Friday, I traveled to New York City to talk about the state of our economy. This is a topic that has been a source of concern for families across America. In the long run, we can be confident that our economy will continue to grow, but in the short run, it is clear that growth has slowed. Fortunately, we recognized this slowdown early, and took action to give our economy a shot in the...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I find something very interesting. We've had two calls today, and I am certain we will get more, from people who say that they don't hear anything wrong with what we have played from the sermons of the pastor of Obama's church in Chicago, Jeremiah Wright. Let's listen to this one again. This is a sermon from 2001 shortly after the 9/11 attacks. WRIGHT: We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the...

Today, my Administration is releasing our 2008 National Drug Control Strategy. This report lays out the methods we are using to combat drug abuse in America. And it highlights the hopeful progress we're making in the fight against addiction. When I took office in 2001, our country was facing a troubling rate of drug abuse, particularly among young people. Throughout America, young men and women saw their dreams disrupted...

A seven-state investigation conducted last summer by a student magazine at UCLA, The Advocate, revealed the presence of an ugly strain of racism in Planned Parenthood affiliates, including Planned Parenthood of Idaho. An actor, posing as a racist donor, called Planned Parenthood development centers and asked that his donation be used to abort African-American babies in order to “lower the number of black people.” According to the magazine, every branch – including Idaho’s - agreed to process the racially earmarked donations, and none expressed concern about the racist reasoning for the donation. Said IVA Executive Director Bryan...

Reagan's Speech at the 4th Annual CPAC Convention: A New Republican Party February 6, 1977 I’m happy to be back with you in this annual event after missing last year’s meeting. I had some business in New Hampshire that wouldn’t wait. Three weeks ago here in our nation’s capital I told a group of conservative scholars that we are currently in the midst of a re-ordering of the political realities that have shaped our time. We know today that the principles and values that lie at the heart of conservatism are shared by the majority. Despite what some in the...

WALLACE: I want to follow up on that. Whether it is interrogation of terror prisoners or the intercepting of surveillance among al Qaeda members, are you ever puzzled by all of the concern in this country about protecting of rights of people who want to kill us? BUSH: That is an interesting way to put it. I wouldn't necessarily define some of the critics of my policy that way. I would say that they want to be very careful that we don't overstep our bounds from protecting the civil liberties of Americans. And I understand that, a lot. I do...

One of the most important jobs of any President is to find good men and women to lead government agencies, preside over our courts, and provide vital services to the American people. So I have nominated talented individuals for these positions. Unfortunately, the Senate is not meeting its responsibility to consider these nominees in a timely manner. More than 180 of my nominees are waiting for confirmation. Some have been waiting for more than...
