Officials said 66-year-old Margaret Louise McCoy was originally charged with aggravated assault after her ex-husband, Michael Clayton McCoy, died Saturday morning. District Attorney General Mike Bottoms said the charges against Margaret McCoy were upgraded Monday to second-degree murder.
