An international collaboration led by Luk H. Vandenberghe, Ph.D., in the Department of Ophthalmology at Mass Eye and Ear, a member of Mass General Brigham, reported that a novel, gene-based COVID-19 vaccine leveraging a unique adeno-associated viral vector (AAV) platform was highly effective at eliciting neutralizing antibody responses and cellular immunity from a single dose.
