• Fleischer shows little regard for truth (Houston Chronicle pot-calling-kettle black alert)

From the dawn of their species, White House press secretaries have sought to cast their boss in a positive light. Perhaps not since Ron Zeigler made inoperative statements on behalf of Richard Nixon, however, has a press secretary exhibited such a brazen and cavalier disregard for the facts. Before President Bush rode a Navy jet onto the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, press secretary Ari Fleischer informed the world, inaccurately, that the carrier would be hundreds of miles offshore. That distance over water, Fleischer suggested, would be too long for the president to safely make the hop...
  • Liberal Talking points

The American Marxists are starting their 2004 presidential campaigns, and have unleashed their talking points to try and soundbite blast Bush out of office. I suggest conservatives use a particular strategy to counter these talking points, that is very similar in nature to the ProtestWarrior signs and shirts - simply deliver a withering counterpoint in an Coulter-esque soundbite that either shames or humiliates the liberal slogan spouter. In the case of 'the glass is half-empty', we need to counter with 'the glass is half-full'. Some examples: Bush is an Idiot/Chimp/etcHe's a fighter pilot and a Harvard MBA! Who's the idiot...

'Win Without War' Releases New Talking Points (2003-02-25) -- Win Without War, the coalition of organizations planning a "virtual march" on Washington, D.C., this week released a new list of talking points to guide people who call the capitol to protest disarming Iraq through threat-of-force. The group encourages callers to use their own "heartfelt" words instead of compelling, thought-out reasons. Here is an excerpt from the talking points list: We can disarm Saddam Hussein without invading Iraq. Despite 12 years of failing to do so, I just feel that we can.A U.S.-led invasion of Iraq would be the greatest terrorist...

  • Talking Points Memo (South Dakota Voter Fraud)

    Talking Points Meme ^ | Dec. 16, 2002 | John Marshall
Department of Curious Omissions: Last Friday in National Review Byron York wrote yet another article on purported "massive" South Dakota voter fraud scandal ("The South Dakota Vote Scandal: How High Does It Go?") The article strongly implies that the State's Attorney General Mark Barnett is covering up evidence of Democratic voter fraud abuses. Never once in the article does York identify Barnett as the Republican State Attorney General. (He ran for the Republican gubernatorial nomination earlier this year.) How high does the Democratic voter fraud scandal go? Apparently all the way up into the Republican party. Now that's massive! --...

I am watching the evening news with Shep on Fox news. The demorats are bringing out the troops, and hitting hard on Bush's poor economy. I saw Martin Frost from Texas, Jessie Jackson and more. I think we need to encourage, the Republicans to push hard to make the tax cuts active now. That would give the economy a shot in the arm and put taxes on the table again. The best defense is a great offense.
  • MOVE OVER SOCCER MOMS -- HERE COME 'OFFICE PARK DADS' Democrats say they're crucial for success

The unchallenged reign of the "soccer mom" -- the darling of Democratic pollsters and candidates just two years ago -- is officially over.

The women whose concern for education, environment and health care drove the 2000 presidential election now must share their demographic throne with their husbands, the "office park dads" whose brows are furrowed over the economy, national security and defense.

I'm sure everyone here who has paid the slightest bit of attention to the way Democrat politics operate knows the routine: Democrat talking points are poll-derived, and focus group-tested, the faxes and emails are sent, as are the flying monkeys, and suddenly the talking points start emanating from Democrat politicians, network "news" readers, newspapers, magazines, etc. all at once and repeatedly until they are embedded in the American consciousness. This thread is meant to document the talking points and their sources so as to better understand the liberal strategy. Just post the talking points you hear and their sources for...
