After Action Report: The peace-niks were a handfull today, but so were the FReepers!! Longmont peace-niks are not used to our little band of patriots. They had a cow as usual. Lots of laughs at this FReep, never a dull moment. Fort Collins was proudly held strong again today by VFW Post 1781 along with FReepers and fine citizens.........

Iraq will not disarm unless forced and the United Nations will not enforce its own resolutions. Since Iraq will not disarm voluntarily, it is now up to the United States and the "coalition of the willing" to disarm Iraq. Despite overwhelming evidence that Saddam Hussein will not voluntarily disarm, large groups of "anti-Americans" demonstrated throughout the world against the United States. In a totally unexpected development, while several million useful idiots around the globe participated in anti-war demonstrations against the United States, over 6.2 billion people around the world did not participate. Protest organizers in the U.S., Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, England, Australia, and other countries had no explanation for the pathetic turnout. Despite the anti-American sentiment, the United States will continue to give food, medical supplies, technical expertise, and billions of dollars of relief to people around the world. Well, people, we done our best. We showed up on campus (Michigan State) at about noon, and immediately took to the main road to wave signs at passers-by. There was a handful of Freepers there (thanks to jaysgal, apackof2, Dan from Michigan, tigercap, freakboy9, and apologies to anyone I forgot), and a few people from the Young Americans for Freedom (a Michigan State University club). I am told between 1200 and 1500 people turned out, covering three freeway overpasses near the military bases -- and the respnse was excellent, with ever-honking horns and waves... A friend driving through the area, headed to OR, reported a pathetic-looking demonstration on a fourth freeway overpass of three or for anti-war protesters.

While millions protested against a war with Iraq across the world, there are still people who support one. Some of those people held a pro-war rally in Washington state, near McChord air base, today. Crowds gathered on an overpass, as people waved American flags and held up signs supporting servicemen and women. The Seattle-Tacoma area is home to many members of the military, from all four branches.
