Ted Cruz‘s wife, Heidi, was once so depressed that a police officer wrote: "I believed that she was a danger to herself." The incident happened in 2005 shortly after Heidi quit her high-powered job at the White House and moved to Austin, Texas, to be with her husband, who was state solicitor general. Police responded to a 911 call about a woman in a pink shirt sitting next to an expressway and found Mrs. Cruz sitting on the ground ten feet from speeding traffic with her head in her hands.

At a panel discussing the life of Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, President Shimon Peres said Monday that Ben-Gurion was a “religious Jew.” Peres said that Ben-Gurion “did not fight against the religious, but against the attempt to turn religion into a bureaucracy. Ben-Gurion saw himself as a religious mam. He was the greatest diplomat of them all, and he had a prophetic vision. “He did not make a mistake in anything...

Pelosi and the Tea Party 'Share Views' February 28, 2010 8:15 AM House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she has much in common with the Tea Party. The speaker now says she shares views with movement she dismissed last summer as being “Astroturf” -- her suggestion that the grassroots of the Tea Party were a creation of the Republican Party. In a “This Week” interview with ABC’s Elizabeth Vargas, Pelosi said, “We share some of the views of the Tea Partiers in terms of the role of special interest in Washington, D.C., as -- it just has to stop. And that's...

Republican presidential candidate, Rep. Ron Paul, said the country is in "great danger" of the U.S. government staging a terrorist attack or a Gulf of Tonkin style provocation, as the war in Iraq continues to deteriorate. The Texas congressman offered no specifics nor mentioned President Bush by name, but he clearly insinuated that the administration would not be above staging an incident to revive flagging support. During the radio interview, Paul said the government was conducting "an orchestrated effort to blame the Iranians for everything that has gone wrong in Iraq."

Another NAFTA Super-Highway is moving state-by-state from the planning stage to the funding and construction process. As listed on the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration’s website, the “I-69 Corridor” is planned to connect Mexico and Canada through Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. Still, skeptics -- even congressmen and senators in the nine states where the I-69 corridor will be built -- continue to charge that any idea that NAFTA Super-Highways are being built are nothing more than “internet conspiracy theories.” Even NASCO (North America’s SuperCorridor Coalition, Inc.) continues to be in denial, refusing...

I want to collect the mailing address of every unit of an apartment complex so I can bulk mail to it. I have the building numbers, but I can't get the unit numbers inside each building because the front door is locked and the mailboxes are inside around the corner. I'm wondering if anyone can figure out a solution to this. I hope I don't have to resort to buying a pricey mailing list.

A Glimpse Ahead Timothy Snodgrass The Impossible Will Come Alive In 2005 01/28/05 In January of 2004, as we began to intercede for the New Year the Holy Spirit gave us the prophetic slogan, "The Seas will Roar in 2004". This year we were given a new slogan, "The Impossible will come Alive in 2005". As the veil of darkness begins to come down over nations and regions, along with great shakings will come great breakthroughs; signs, wonders, healings and a spectacular release of miracles in impossible circumstances. This year, although we are ultimately poised to gain much ground, there...

CHICAGO (AP) - She knew her new name might finally stick when she got a phone message recently: "Hi, GoVeg.com. This is your mother. Please call me." It might sound more than a little odd - but it's true. A young animal rights activist from Indiana once known as Karin Robertson has legally changed her name to that of a Web site run by her employer, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. It's not a first name or a last name - just one name. And don't call her "Veg" or "Dot," as some have tried to do....

Ty Pelfrey and his wife, Teresa, were on a plane from Sacramento to Burbank in mid-February when who should take the seat in the next row, with an entourage of security and support staff, but Gov. Gray Davis?

Pelfrey, a teacher, saw it as an opportunity. So despite a scowl from Teresa, he introduced himself to the governor. The two had a 10-minute conversation, with plenty of good feeling all around, he says.
