The Naval amphibious ship San Diego was launched Friday in Pascagoula, Miss., one of the first steps in the journey toward its namesake city. The San Diego is the fourth Navy vessel to be named for the city. It will be delivered to the Navy in 2011, but may not show up its home port of San Diego until 2012.
