Beware the First Horseman of the Apocalypse!! Going back to Leviticus 26, there is a Biblical archetype of “the four horsemen of the apocalypse.” It’s a four-fold judgment from God going forth over the world. The archetype “takes on flesh” in Revelation 6 with four literal horsemen. Most understand three out of four horsemen as war, famine, and pestilence. But there is debate about what the first one is, particularly in Revelation 6. It’s “a white horse.” And “He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to...

The extraordinary shutdown, if continued, will have harmful consequences that go far beyond the economy. A short period of decisive action to buy time to prepare may be prudent. But ongoing measures of mass mobilization are likely to do severe damage to our society. The Wall Street Journal editorial “Rethinking the Coronavirus Shutdown” warns of the economic consequences of a prolonged lockdown. We could be heading toward a drastic decline in GDP. This will dislocate the lives of tens of millions and exact human costs, not just economic ones. Already, federal officials are gearing up to spend one trillion dollars....

LAKEWOOD, N.J. (CBS) — Police in Ocean County have arrested a homeowner for hosting a pop-up wedding with more than 50 people in attendance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in the week, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy banned gatherings of 50 or more people in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. Lakewood police have charged 49-year-old Eliyohu Zaks with maintaining a nuisance for hosting the wedding at a home on Spruce Street. “The Lakewood Police is asking that its citizens be responsible and obey the directives set forth by the State of New Jersey for the safety and...

Ilhan Omar’s new husband officiated at his own marriage to the leftist congresswoman, their marriage certificate reveals. DailyMail.com has exclusively obtained the certificate which lists Tim Mynett as both the officiant and the bridegroom at the ceremony. It has been legal to conduct your own ceremony in Washington, D.C. since 2014, and that is what Mynett appears to have done. Such marriages are also allowed in Colorado and Pennsylvania and are recognized in other states. The total expense would have been $45 - $35 for the license and $10 for the certificate. The certificate shows that Mynett married Omar on...

Several weeks ago, I started work on a Monday with a sore throat and headache. I was doing a final review of my high rise building in anticipation of the Fire Marshall's visit that week. Tuesday, I was sick as a dog. Raging fever, aches and chills, migraine, and a persistent, dry cough. Used Dayquil and Nyquil to dampen the effects and clear my system. By Wednesday, I was at my doctor's office. I tested negative for the flu. Blood pressure and temperature were way up. They gave me a cocktail booster shots, ciprofloxacin, and prednisone. Doctor ordered chest x-rays....

Happy St Patrick's Day. Enslaved by the Irish, he escaped to freedom. Yet he came back to the Irish to preach the gospel which sets sinners free to live with real hope--- that no virus can steal away. Also my wife's birthday so this day is also St Karen's day. How blessed is every believer in Christ to be known as a saint before God, our Father. In Jesus, He has dressed me up in "garments of salvation and a robe of righteousness" (which today is green 😄 )

Rodney Howard-Brown on coronavirus in today's ministry: This is not a conspiracy theory it's been play out for years.... I talked about what is coming, more than ten years. The people in our church are ready for this. Therefore, nothing of what is happening now is a surprise to me. Every god of America has fallen - sports have fallen, Hollywood has fallen, television shows canceled. Even the god of some mega churches fell, these churches are empty today. I have warned for years that churches will disappear in one night. I hold in my hands the Rockefeller organization document,...

The aftermath of the plague created a series of religious, social, and economic upheavals, which had profound effects on the course of European history. It took 150 years for Europe’s population to recover, and the effects of the plague irrevocably changed the social structure, resulting in widespread persecution of minorities such as Jews, foreigners, beggars, and lepers. The uncertainty of daily survival has been seen as creating a general mood of morbidity, influencing people to “live for the moment.” Because 14th-century healers were at a loss to explain the cause of the plague, Europeans turned to astrological forces, earthquakes, and...

A church in South Korea sprayed salt water inside the mouths of followers out of a false belief it would help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, but by using the same spray bottle without disinfecting the nozzle, it resulted in 46 church-goers infected, authorities said on Monday.

Believing that cow urine can ward off coronavirus, a Hindu group in India reportedly hosted a cow urine drinking party Saturday to test their belief. The cow is sacred to many Hindus and some drink cow urine believing it has medicinal purposes. But experts have repeatedly asserted that cow urine does not cure illnesses like cancer and there is no evidence that it can prevent coronavirus, according to Reuters.

Residents of Sicilian capital pray for another miracle from Saint Rosalia, who they say rescued the city from a deadly plague in 1625Legend has it that in 1625, as a plague swept Palermo and killed dozens of people each day, Saint Rosalia appeared before a man. Rosalia, a young Sicilian hermit who died 500 years earlier, told him that if the people of Palermo walked in procession while carrying her relics, to be found in a grotto on Monte Pellegrino, then the “evil fever” would disappear. After months of debate over the authenticity of that apparition, Saint Rosalia’s remains –...

Officials at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and epidemic experts from universities around the world conferred last month... Between 160 million and 214 million people in the U.S. could be infected over the course of the epidemic, according to one projection. That could last months or even over a year, with infections concentrated in shorter periods, staggered across time in different communities, experts said. As many as 200,000 to 1.7 million people could die. And, the calculations based on the C.D.C.’s scenarios suggested, 2.4 million to 21 million people in the U.S. could require hospitalization, potentially crushing...

On a typical Friday, some 200 people show up for services at Temple De Hirsch Sinai, a Reform congregation in Seattle. But last week, there was no one in the pews as Rabbi Daniel Weiner welcomed Shabbat in the synagogue’s smaller sanctuary. Instead, some 1,500 people watched Weiner lead the prayers on their computers. The synagogue hasn’t been holding any services for 10 days due to the coronavirus outbreak, which has claimed 21 lives in Washington state and thousands around the world. Though there wasn’t a physical minyan, the quorum of 10 people required to say certain prayers, Weiner realized...

This letter has been reposted with the permission of Rabbi Reuven Fink.As so many of us are now contemplating going into a Shabbos of seclusion, I want to share a few thoughts with you. We all woke up Tuesday morning prepared for our usual schedules of work or school or whatever we usually do. By late afternoon we learned that the state and the county health departments ordered a voluntary quarantine of those who were in a number of venues where the Coronavirus might have been. I said to myself, “but at all of those places we were performing mitzvot....

Joe Biden's delusions: excerpts from his campaign's "vision" pages . Promoting death and perversion, increasing dependence upon government from Pre-K on up, inculcation of liberal "values," politically correct policies, and prevaricating propaganda, with this expensive expansion of government being funded via the economy that it will work to distress. What Biden proposes and vows is essentially not much different than radical Sanders, but is somewhat less extensive and straightforward (while being verbose and often redundant), yet basically promising the same perversions of morality and principles of a sound society. LGBTQ : As President, Biden will secure the passage of the...
