A gunman took multiple people hostage overnight inside Pulse nightclub in Orlando, where "multiple people" were killed and 42 were injured, Orlando Police Chief John Mina said at a morning news conference. The gunman, who has not been identified, was carrying an assault rifle, a handgun and a "device." The Orange County Sheriff;s Office hazardous device team is now searching the area. Gunshots rang out at an Orlando, Fla., gay club, striking at least 20 people early Sunday, according to a WESH-TV report. A witness saw what appeared to be one assailant opening fire with a semi-automatic firearm inside the nightclub and another outside the south Orlando venue from a vehicle. “We were just leaving the club and we started hearing the shots,” clubber Anthony Torres told the Daily News. “Everyone was running and screaming.”

The article mentions that "Another person is seen checking the pulse of the victim." Unfortunately the video is not included in the story; however, I am including the link to an updated and slightly longer video which does indeed show a Libyan checking Ambassador Stevens pulse at the 1:16 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRBl11SRtUk&feature=channel&list=UL&bpctr=1348039338

It's bewildering. Pathetic. Frightening. And it seems that the mainstream media avoids talking about it for fear that Americans will panic. Well, Americans ought to be panicking -- anything to get them to bang on Congress's door and force our representatives to immediately act on the pending legislature now in Congress called the SHIELD Act -- a bill based on the previous HR 5026 -- that unanimously passed in the House of Representatives on June 9, 2010. The disaster I am referring to is an electromagnetic pulse (EMP), which can easily be caused either by Mother Nature as a geomagnetic...

A few weeks ago, I bought a book of front pages of newspapers from World War II. I have been reading it avidly ever since. The news is terrifying and uplifting, of course. But it is the sense of Western resolve against the Axis powers that is so powerful. There is a purpose in the stories of the whole nations of the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Soviet Union joined to fight the Nazi and Japanese war machines. Fighting, producing, rationing, restraining, cheering, mourning, all done with a will to win.

MICHAEL Jackson was almost brought back from the dead. Battling medics managed to restart his heart an hour after he "flat-lined" following a cardiac arrest last June, the News of the World reported yesterday. Hospital doctors triggered a weak pulse for 10 minutes but it could not be sustained. The development emerged in a lawsuit filed by the pop superstar's father Joe against Conrad Murray, Jackson's doctor. Dr Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter over Jackson's death. Joe Jackson's detailed 13-page document claims Dr Murray caused his son's death by giving him drugs and not getting him to hospital...

Doctor says he did not inject JacksonCalcutta News.Net Sunday 28th June, 2009 Michael Jackson's doctor has labelled reports he injected the pop icon with a powerful painkiller prior to Jackson’s death as false. Speaking through his lawyer, Dr. Conrad Murray, told the Los Angeles Times he did not administer the narcotic drugs, Demerol or OxyContin. Dr Murray explained that Jackson was unconscious and not breathing when he entered the bedroom at Jackson’s Holmby Hills mansion in California. He said he checked for a pulse, which was only weak. He then started administering CPR. The LA Times said the account provided...

A photograph taken in Beavercreek has some hoping it's proof of top-secret 'pulse jet' tests. BEAVERCREEK — A Beavercreek man's photograph of an unusual aircraft condensation trail has sparked a high-flying debate among scientists and aviation fans over whether the Air Force or NASA is flying an aerospace vehicle with an exotic new propulsion system. The photo of the vapor trail, taken Nov. 10 by amateur meteorologist Bill Telzerow from his backyard, shows a distinctive "doughnuts-on-a-rope" shape. The photo has raised questions about whether an experimental propulsion system that uses pulse detonation engine technology is being tested here. The propulsion...

MONTREAL — A 65-year-old Quebec man who received a new long-term mechanical heart last month is being described as the only living Canadian without a pulse. Dr. Renzo Cecere implanted the “Heartmate II” mechanical heart into Gerard Langevin in an three-hour operation Nov. 23. Officials at the McGill University Health Centre say the device, which is about the size of a flashlight battery, could last up to 10 years. That is longer than other models which

Pulse reveals beating heart of a supervolcano 01 March 2006 From New Scientist Print Edition Jessica Marshall "I DON'T think visitors appreciate that they're standing directly on top of the largest, most dynamic magmatic system on the planet," says geologist Daniel Dzurisin. While the supervolcano that is Yellowstone National Park won't be erupting any time soon, he and his colleagues have uncovered a surprising source of volcanic activity beneath tourists' feet, which was probably the reason trails had to be closed in 2003. The Yellowstone caldera formed 640,000 years ago in an explosion of magma more than 1000 times greater...

The United States is highly vulnerable to attack from electronic pulses caused by a nuclear blast in space, according to a new book on threats to U.S. security. A single nuclear weapon carried by a ballistic missile and detonated a few hundred miles over the United States would cause "catastrophe for the nation" by damaging electricity-based networks and infrastructure, including computers and telecommunications, according to "War Footing: 10 Steps America Must Take to Prevail in the War for the Free World." "This is the single most serious national-security challenge and certainly the least known," said Frank J. Gaffney Jr. of...

Oliver Stone and the studio releasing his $150 million historical epic "Alexander" should beware of Greeks bearing writs — over the film's depiction of Alexander the Great as Alexander the Fabulous. The controversial director and Warner Bros. were yesterday threatened with a lawsuit by a group of Greek lawyers who are incensed that the new movie "Alexander" portrays the hero as bisexual. The group of 25 Athens-based lawyers said they sent a letter to Warner Bros. demanding that it label "Alexander" ... as a work of fiction.... "We are not saying that were are against gays, but we are saying...

... [I]magine a blackout that lasts for months, or years. That was the job of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the U.S. from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack. The commission, created in 2000 to examine the possibility of EMP attack and its aftermath, just delivered a report to Congress. All we can say is, we hope someone in Washington is paying attention. An EMP attack occurs when an enemy sets off a nuclear explosion high in the Earth's atmosphere. The electromagnetic pulse generated by the blast destroys the electronics and satellites in its field of vision. For a detonation...

These geritol giants are none other than the original Pipers At The Gates of Dawn; Pink Floyd. If you haven't been fortunate enough to catch them live, you can now enjoy the second best thing. Mice can predict big earthquakes: Japanese researchers 2 hours, 42 minutes ago Add Science - AFP to My Yahoo! TOKYO (AFP) - Japanese researchers said they have proved mice act strangely after being exposed to electromagnetism similar to that often monitored ahead of a big earthquake (news - web sites). In their experiments, researchers exposed mice to low levels of electromagnetism which people cannot feel, said Takeshi Yagi, professor at Osaka University in western Japan. "The mice then became unstable and ran around inside the cage, scratched their faces and stuck their heads into sawdust in the cage," Yagi said...

Compression Experiments In World's Largest Pulse Power Machine The Mini-Mag Orion system, short for Miniature Magnetic Orion, is a scaled down but more efficient version of the 1958 Orion interplanetary propulsion concept. The original Orion concept proposed the use of nuclear explosives ejected behind a spacecraft to propel it to other planets. Seattle - Apr 08, 2003 Andrews Space & Technology (AS&T) successfully demonstrated the fundamental operating principles of a propulsion system that could dramatically affect interplanetary space travel, shortening round trips to Mars from two years to six months and making future trips to Jupiter and back a two-year...
