New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) has announced a jobs program for tens of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens who are arriving in the sanctuary state every week, even as about 380,000 New Yorkers are unemployed. As more than 100,000 border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived in New York, mostly in New York City, since the spring of last year, Hochul has pleaded with President Joe Biden not to stem the flow of illegal immigration but to more easily provide new arrivals with work permits.

PALMDALE, Calif. — House appropriators don’t intend for the Pentagon to re-engine the F-35 with a new adaptive powerplant, the chairman of the House defense appropriations subcommittee (HAC-D) said this week. “It states pretty specifically in the appropriation bill that we’re not looking or seeking to change out the Pratt & Whitney engine,” Rep. Ken Calvert, a California Republican, said in a Wednesday interview with Breaking Defense at the inaugural North LA Defense Forum hosted by Rep. Mike Garcia at Northrop Grumman’s facilities here in Palmdale. “Unless there’s a catastrophic failure on the part of [current engine maker] Pratt &...

The University of Minnesota’s website is no longer promoting a summer research program that excludes white students, after a conservative nonprofit advocacy group filed a complaint with federal civil rights officials last week. A link that previously directed “students of color and Native Americans” to apply for a “Multicultural Summer Research Opportunities Program” now leads users to a rebranded “Pathways to Graduate School: Summer Research Program.” The requirements for the program are no longer race-based, with applicants instead needing to show a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and “must be a US citizen or permanent resident,” according to the site.

Democratic Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin are dominating Capitol Hill. Given the 50-50 split in the Senate, Democrats can't afford to lose a single vote on the budget reconciliation bill -- and Sinema and Manchin are using that leverage to force huge concessions from the Biden administration.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—A new, government-funded study has found that the solution to all the problems the government has created is more government, according to the government. According to the study, whenever the government messes everything up, just a little bit more government can fix the problem the government created (according to all the studies funded by the government). While most people would assume that you want less government when the government creates a problem, this study, funded by the government, debunks this assumption. "Incredibly, this study, funded by the government, has proven conclusively that all the problems the government has created...

Originally built to speed up calculations, a machine-learning system is now making shocking progress at the frontiers of experimental quantum physicsQuantum physicist Mario Krenn remembers sitting in a café in Vienna in early 2016, poring over computer printouts, trying to make sense of what MELVIN had found. MELVIN was a machine-learning algorithm Krenn had built, a kind of artificial intelligence. Its job was to mix and match the building blocks of standard quantum experiments and find solutions to new problems. And it did find many interesting ones. But there was one that made no sense. “The first thing I thought...

President Joe Biden signed an executive order this week revoking former President Donald Trump’s order providing federal funds to apprenticeship programs created by industries, calling for more government-controlled alternatives.

As soon as Donald Trump entered office, he set to work toughening up our border security situation and making it harder for illegal aliens to enter (and remain in) the United States. Last year, after the pandemic arrived, he took the additional step of instituting a zero-tolerance policy for illegal border crossings, with the perpetrators being immediately sent back to Mexico without waiting for a hearing. Of course, now that President Joe “Open Borders” Biden is in charge, things had to change. Biden’s acting Attorney General released an announcement this week that the zero-tolerance policy is ending. Moving forward, we’re...

On Monday, while a stopgap spending measure was being approved in the Senate as part of a new February deadline for immigration reform, a curious teaser video appeared online. “What if there was a smarter way that gave people the power to freely enter and reenter the United States with just a few taps of their smartphone?” a narrator asked. What if? The slick 72-second spot had largely slipped under the radar, with a mere 59 views at the time it was abruptly taken offline Wednesday evening. That’s something of an irony, considering it’s for a mobile app we’re told...

Mass Media coverage of the “Worldwide Refugee Crisis” has largely been filled with either human interest pieces talking about how terrible the conditions of the home countries are, or lambasting the lack of charity which Western governments are offering in terms of refugee placement. And this is done on purpose, because the Agenda wants stable nations to take more and more people whilst still ensuring that a certain level of guilt is felt. The reality is, that each nation is free to set its own refugee admittance number which is changed each year. And the US is the world’s top...

Just a few days ago, the US House of Representatives passed HR 158, which would remove from the US's visa waiver program non-US citizens who visit or hold dual citizenship with countries known for terrorism or connections to ISIS (Syria, Iran, Iraq and Sudan were named). Now, Iran's FARS News is reporting that it won't happen without European approval (Hat Tip: Steve B). "The Commission is currently examining the measures announced by the Obama Administration as well as proposals presented in the Congress to enhance the Visa Waiver Program," the source told FNA. Noting that the meetings are taking...

"Software is eating the world," venture capitalist Marc Andreessen famously declared. Someone has to write that software. Why not you? There are thousands of programming languages, but some are far more popular than others. When a company goes out to find new programming talent, they're looking for people familiar with the languages and systems they already use — and they don't always want to experiment with newcomers like Google Go or Apple Swift. Here are the programming languages you should learn if you always want to have a job, as suggested by the popular TIOBE Index and Redmonk Programming Language...

If you want to understand Julian Assange Wikileaks, the Edward Snowden affair, and the current campaign against the United States police, watch this hour long video. From the 1980s, the video will make it clear that all these supposedly spontaneous movements are part of an ongoing, KGB and Cuban directed campaign to de-stabilize and eventually destroy America.

PALATINE, IL – The Feds are so desperate to make their school lunch overhaul work, they’re going cafeteria to cafeteria to lobby students.USDA bureaucrat Audrey Rowe has that task and news cameras captured her attempting to persuade students that her idea of a good lunch should be their idea of a good lunch, too.Rowe, head of the “Healthy Lunch Initiative” and sidekick to First Lady Michelle Obama during the lobbying and passage of 2010’s Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, made an appearance at Palatine High School to serve lunches, with an extra helping of “enthusiasm,” according to Fox 32.But the latter didn’t...
