DEVELOPING: The female prison employee at the center of an investigation into the escape of two killers was arrested Thursday and charged with providing them assistance. The New York State Police said Joyce Mitchell, 51, faced two felony charges related to helping Richard Matt and David Sweat escape from the Clinton Correctional Facility in upstate New York one week ago. The men are still at large. Mitchell was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 1st Degree, and Criminal Facilitation, 4th Degree, both felonies, police said.
