GREENVILLE, S.C. – With the clock ticking toward Saturday's Republican presidential primary in South Carolina, a new poll indicates that former President Trump maintains a large double-digit lead over Nikki Haley, his last remaining major rival in the race for the GOP nomination. Trump, the commanding frontrunner for the Republican nomination as he makes his third straight bid for the White House, stands at 63% support among those likely to vote in Saturday's Republican presidential primary, according to a Suffolk University/USA Today survey released on Tuesday. Haley, a former two-term Palmetto State governor who later served as ambassador to the...

With early voting underway in Michigan’s presidential primary, a group is calling on Democrats to vote uncommitted instead of for President Joe Biden. “This is our protest vote at the ballot box,” Listen to Michigan campaign manager Layla Elabed said. Elabed said the groups want to send a strong message to Biden over his administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war. The group is pushing for a cease-fire. “We’re seeing a genocide unfold right in front of our eyes in 2024,” Elabed said. Elabed’s sister, Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, offered her support to voting uncommitted in a video posted on the...

Tuesday, former South Carolina Governor and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley is set to sweep the Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) in Nevada, clinching an outright win. Former President Donald Trump's name is not printed on the ballot for the state-run primary at all. While Haley will likely ride the momentum of a purported victory, she won't exactly strike gold in the Silver State. At the Republican National Convention, Haley will not be awarded any of the 26 delegates from Nevada. Instead, the delegates will be awarded through caucuses run by the Nevada Republican Party on Thursday. By this method, Trump...

Independent, Republican and unregistered voters in New York's Westchester County are being urged to register as Democrats ahead of the Democratic congressional primary between "Squad" member Rep. Jamaal Bowman and pro-Israel candidate George Latimer, mailers obtained by Fox News Digital show. "Community and family transcend politics," Westchester Unites, a group in Westchester County that works to advocate for "community over party," said in mailers to local voters. "Especially when antisemitism is on the ballot." The mailers call on voters to "combat" antisemitic hate by making "our voices heard." "But you can only do so if you are enrolled Democratic by...

Biden Celebrates Win, Sets Sight on 2024 Race President Joe Biden issued a statement on Saturday, celebrating his victory in the South Carolina primary. “In 2020, it was the voters of South Carolina who proved the pundits wrong, breathed new life into our campaign, and set us on the path to winning the Presidency,” the president said. “Now in 2024, the people of South Carolina have spoken again and I have no doubt that you have set us on the path to winning the Presidency again — and making Donald Trump a loser— again.” President Biden secured a decisive victory...

SNIPWhile the number of votes swayed by the leaked audio remains uncertain, two things are now abundantly clear: The recordings were fake, created using artificial intelligence; and US officials see the episode in Europe as a frightening harbinger of the sort of interference the United States will likely experience during the 2024 presidential election.“As a nation, we are woefully underprepared,” said V.S. Subrahmanian, a Northwestern University professor who focuses on the intersection of AI and security.Senior national security officials in the US have been gearing up for “deepfakes” to inject confusion among voters in a way not previously seen, a...

CHICAGO (AP) — Illinois’ election board on Tuesday is scheduled to consider whether to keep Donald Trump on the state’s primary ballot after a recommendation that he be removed over the Constitution’s insurrection provision. The meeting of the Illinois State Board of Elections, which is split evenly between Democrats and Republicans, comes a little more than a week before the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments in a similar case from Colorado. That state’s highest court found the 14th amendment barred the Republican former president from the ballot over his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S....

51% percent of voters in New Hampshire's Republican presidential primary contest considered themselves Republicans, down from 55% in the party's 2016 contest ... New Hampshire is a semi-open primary, allowing "undeclared" registered voters to vote in either primary, giving independents a say in the Republican presidential nominating contest. Roughly two-thirds of undeclared independents broke for runner-up Nikki Haley on Tuesday night ... 51% said they think Joe Biden did not legitimately win the 2020 presidential election. ... 75% said the condition of the U.S. economy is not so good or poor, while 24% said it is excellent or good. 57%...

President Joe Biden won New Hampshire’s largely symbolic Democratic primary on Tuesday, prevailing in an unusual write-in effort after he refused to campaign or appear on the state ballot. Biden easily bested two longshot challengers, Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips and self-help author Marianne Williamson, who were on the ballot along with a host of little-known names. His victory in a race he was not formally contesting essentially cements the president’s grasp on the Democratic nomination for a second term. The New Hampshire race will likely not count toward amassing delegates for the presidential nomination after Democrats in the state bucked...

This needs to be the talking point going forward."Trump defeated the establishment's candidate."No matter how you look at it, Donald Trump won the uniparty primary. He is on his way to "Making America Great Again"Exit polls show that 70% of Nikki Haley's votes came from unaffiliated voters, whereas she only received 27% of the Republican vote. However, Donald Trump won 70% of the registered Republican vote, and 27% of the unaffiliated vote.

After losing the New Hampshire GOP presidential primary to frontrunner Donald Trump, Nikki Haley spoke to supporters, saying, "New Hampshire is First in the Nation. This race is far from over." Haley remarked that she started out at 2 percent in the polls, and she's come a long way and got nearly half the vote in New Hampshire. It remains to be seen just how close she comes to "nearly half," and she's helped immensely by the fact that she's the only major candidate remaining in the race other than Trump. She continued by asserting that "Donald Trump is the only...

Nikki Haley’s last stand is over. The 2024 Republican primaries are over. Donald Trump has won the New Hampshire primary, ending all chances that the former president can be stopped. Ron DeSantis, struggling in the Granite State, withdrew from the 2024 race last weekend. While Haley’s showing in the state was solid, it wasn’t enough for her to win. After this primary, there’s no stopping Trump's bid to re-clinch the 2024 Republican nomination. I've seen enough: Donald Trump (R) wins the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary, defeating Nikki Haley (R).— Dave Wasserman (@Redistrict) January 24, 2024Decision Desk HQ projects Donald...
