What if we all called the white house switchboard 202-456-1111 to say thanks? I know the leftist loonies are calling there to complain.

Why has "113th" remained on Popular Keyword list when 113th Congress was January 3, 2013 to January 3, 2015? And most topics keyword search result of "113th" end 2015 as well.

Ok so I dont own freerepublic only Jim does. But we support it. Can there be an official report why on one of the most important days of crossing the finish line FR was down? Can that be explained please? Maybe we need to hold a special fundraiser to have a alternative data site and professional server managers that can handle contingency issues? This is by no means a criticism of Jim. But it was like being locked out of our own celebration at the club we belong.

What is causing FR to render slowly? JR's coding is simple enuff to render quick but my refresh takes over 120 seconds. Tell me it is my lap-box or ATT connection. That would make it less frustrating on my end.

FR is acting weid. Why after going to the News| Actvism foruwm, does each POS on the form page show Post Reply| Prvate Reply|To #|View Repies..., only forum page??? The Spell tab is gone as well.

I tried to post an article about the death of Tyson Gay's daughter, and it was apparently pulled because the title of the post was only a portion of the original. Trouble is, the original title was too long to fit (way over 100 characters). What the heck? Can it only be posted as a vanity that will be largely ignored? Mods or others PLEASE advise!

So I had commented on an article where the nyt I think, was picking apart trumps debt and insinuating that his acceptance of loans from box/GS was somehow a horrible thing for a presidential nominee to do. I surfed for a bit and wanted to read what others had written. The topic is completely gone, my comment isn't listed in pings.(my comment was 'and if it was Hillary they'd say the 950 million annual debt from boc/GS was covered plus xx% by annual leases' and then 'remember when Hillary stole priceless antiques from the wh so she could eat like...

Call it a high-tech lynching. In the wake of Donald Trump’s being shut out in Colorado — final delegate count: Ted Cruz, 34; Trump, 0 — his fans have formed virtual mobs, and on Sunday a particularly passionate Twitter user tweeted out the home address and phone number of Steve House, chairman of the Colorado GOP. House’s personal information has been retweeted more than 1,100 times. He says he’s received some 3,000 phone calls, most of them uncomplimentary: Meanwhile, the same Trump partisan also tweeted information for the state’s national committeewoman, Lily Nuñez, and committeeman, George Leing. Of course, the...

Anyone else see this as THE MAIN REASON Trump is kicking butt?

I've been here since 2000 and have always wondered why there is an asterisk in the Search box. I always delete it before I type in my search. Why is it there? Should I be leaving it there when I do my search?

Admin Moderator- My local Gannett newsrag published my opinion letter a couple of days ago. Does that mean I have to link them rather than posting my own letter from my database?

Hello everyone, Let me be the first to say i don't agree with some of the ideas of the GOP candidates, but i want to try to understand your standing on some issues. I hope we can keep it civil. Here are some points i want your input: 1.) When i hear the phrase "fewer regulation" from the GOP presidential candidates that are taking money from the Koch brothers there is the image of toxic waste being poured into the river and finding its way to the tap in your house. What do you understand by fewer regulations and why...

Can we please fix the system here so that when you copy material, you don't have to go through and change all the special symbols? It's getting cumbersome.

From Friday's program: (11/13/15 13:40) I want to say something briefly and then I'll move along. If Donald Trump continues to attack Ben Carson the way he is currently attacking Ben Carson, I have to affirmatively oppose him. I like the man very much, but the absolute reckless, personal assaults on Ben Carson, who's one of the most decent men you could possibly know. And I only know him from the public airwaves --a truly accomplished man, is simply unacceptable to me; unacceptable to me. I've never heard this kind of slurring of a man of great integrity. That's number...

Question: Somehow, my sig got messed up and I can't figure out how to change it to what I want. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you.

Just throwing out an idea based on an observation. In all my years on FR, watching the duplicate threads show up, and the users insisting they searched for existing articles. I believe them. The problem lies in the default searching option in my view. Change it from keywords to title. The title search is vastly more useful and is what I use to detect duplicate articles, and I suspect the same to many of those that enjoy pointing them out. In my observation, many duplicate articles are a result of inaccurate or incomplete keyword lists that don't quite literally have...

I've had my user name for long time, going back to when GW Bush was running fro president. I've been an active user but no longer want to be associated with that username for obvious reasons. Is it possible to change it to something new without losing my history or being seen as a newcomer?

An 800 ft. cargo vessel sailing from Jacksonville to San Juan in the vicinity of a major hurricane with 33 crew on board loses power, starts listing, sends a distress signal and goes missing now for four days. Drudge has a link to the story just as a side of other hurricane stories. The story goes largely ignored by the mainstream media. Even Free Republic has taken it down from Breaking and Front Page news. That's 33 souls, 28 of which are Americans, possibly lost at sea or struggling to survive. A major U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue effort...
