FReepers, with all of the contacts we have across the nation, I am hoping that someone can help. I want to speak with survivors of Senators John Stennis, Strom Thurmond, or John Tower. Nov. 12-15, 1971, leadership of the VVAW met in Kansas City and debated and voted on whether to assassinate seven senators, including those above named. Although John Kerry denied being there, witnesses place him at that meeting and then resigning his leadership position. I hope to contact surviving relatives of the three senators to see if any of them will go on record with a public question...

NEW YORK -- Two Brooklyn men have been arrested in connection with an alleged plot to bomb a subway station in midtown Manhattan, sources said early Saturday.
John Kerry mentions his service in Vietnam so frequently that it has become a running joke on the campaign press plane. He seldom if ever mentions his postwar activities as a national coordinator and principal spokesman for Vietnam Veterans Against the War, a group he says he quit in 1971 because he was concerned about its radical agenda. One reason may be that a credibility gap has started to widen over his antiwar history, and he clearly doesn't want to discuss it at length. His campaign is issuing misleading and evasive statements on his antiwar service in a way that would do the Pentagon spinners of the Johnson and Nixon administrations proud.

I did not come into this world expecting someone to try to erase me. I did not learn in school that America would wrestle against an overwhelming, nihilistic evil. I did not know that even as I would try to defend myself against such an enemy, there would be those in my own government who would help that enemy achieve his goals... It is no matter - we are born to the times in which we live. It is no mistake that you and I are here, facing down the madmen once thought to only inhabit the mythos of our...

August 11, 2004 -- A former college pal of Kobe Bryant's accuser is defending the NBA star on the Internet, where she's posted sordid allegations about his alleged victim's past, including what she claims was a plot to have sex with the rapper Eminem. In a phone interview with The Post, Laie Weatherwax, who has been informed she'll be called to testify for the defense at Bryant's trial, said yesterday: "I am doing this because it is right." Weatherwax, however, has plenty to say, much of which can be seen on the Web site Fratpack.com. She says her former friend...

There are some people, I am told, who don't believe that 35 years ago, American astronauts landed on the moon. At the same time, other members of the public think that a vast conspiracy has covered up the discovery of UFO-type creatures. And still others cling to the notion that the CIA killed John F. Kennedy, while a Jewish subset of this sector similarly thinks that Yitzhak Rabin was murdered by the Mossad. In other words, there are some really dumb people out there, a portion of whom are stark-raving mad. Conspiracies are the lifeblood of mystery novels and thrillers....

AN alleged plot to drive most of Zimbabwe’s 50,000 remaining whites out of the country is being investigated by the Foreign Office. The Sunday Times has obtained a document, apparently drawn up on the orders of a senior official in President Robert Mugabe’s secret police, which calls for the bombing of an economic target in Zimbabwe that could be blamed on “British funded terrorists”. Diplomatic relations with Britain could then be broken off and all British nationals told to leave within 48 hours or risk being interned as suspected terrorists or terrorist sympathisers, says the document. It is dated June...

Plot to bomb Sharon foiled By Inigo Gilmore in Jerusalem (Filed: 15/06/2004) Israeli security forces described how they foiled a plan to bomb the Jerusalem office of Ariel Sharon, the prime minister, after a Palestinian resident of the city was arrested. The Shin Bet security services and police uncovered the plan a month ago following the arrest of Hussam Nabulsi, 38, who had access to ministries as a driver for a printing company. A media gag on the story was lifted yesterday. Nabulsi, a resident of Jerusalem's Old City, who holds an Israeli identification card, was apparently recruited by a...

Officials investigating the devastating North Korean train explosion in April now believe that the blast was an assassination attempt on the country's leader, Kim Jong-il. At the time, the secretive Communist state described the explosion in the border town of Ryongchon as an accident. Electric cables were believed to have ignited a cargo of explosive chemicals and oil. Now, however, officials close to the investigation believe that a mobile telephone was used to detonate the train's deadly cargo of ammonium nitrate and fuel. The remains of a mobile handset, with adhesive tape attached, have been found at the scene of...
