British-born man admits bomb plot

A British-born Muslim convert was convicted yesterday of plotting to bomb the Israeli embassy in Canberra.
Convicted: Jack Roche
Jack Roche, 50, who discussed the plot with Osama bin Laden at a camp in Afghanistan, had originally pleaded not guilty at Perth district court.
But halfway through the trial his lawyers asked for the charge to be read out again and he replied: "Guilty".
Roche, who was arrested in November 2002, is the first Australian citizen to be convicted of a terrorist offence and faces a maximum 25 years in jail. Sentence is expected next week.
Outside court, Roche's wife, Afifah, said she believed he changed his plea because he had been worn down by cross-examination.
"He is depressed because the questioning is around, around and back again," she said. "He does not want to speak any more."
Looks like another ROP Muslim on the "convert to Islam, start blowing everything up" plan.
Looks like as soon as you become a ragtime cowboy, you're expected to be an asshole right away. They call it a religion. What a crock.
He looks like Sean Penn with a beard...
it's his cousin, sean Penn Laden.

That appears to be the pattern. New converts are the most radical. Trying to prove their piety I guess.
