DETROIT - An animal cruelty officer, we're told, was shot Thursday by a Detroit Police officer, who was aiming at a loose pit bull. This all started at a house on Fairport that is suspected of being a chop shop. In fact, Detroit Police were at the location investigating when they learned that three pit bulls were protecting the property. The Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society was called to safely remove the dogs.
