Ehrlich Jr. called for Republican unity yesterday at the state convention, where the selection of party chairman revealed divisions within the party after last month's widespread election defeats. "The hard left is in firm control of the state, and we don't have the votes to stop them," Mr. Ehrlich told party leaders in a ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel in Annapolis.
