I am. Anybody who supports Ron Paul after seeing this isn’t just not a Republican; they’re not a patriotic American. George McGovern would find this guy’s foreign policy borderline treason.

If you’ve been under a rock somewhere recently you may not know that Ron Paul published a bunch of crazy, racist newsletters in the late 80′s and early 90′s. Ron Paul, ten years ago, took responsibility for the content, even admitted at one point that he had written some of them. Today, Ron Paul claims he knew nothing about them even though they generated around a million dollars in income for him. The newsletters were the “Ron Paul” newsletters and each was written in the first person as if from Ron Paul, without an author’s byline, conveying that the views...

I believe that Texas Congressman Ron Paul and his followers have good intentions. However, as any conservative can attest, having good intentions does not exempt a person from the consequences of his actions or views. Given that, by diverting and dividing the right at a time when we can ill afford to be distracted, the extremist views held by Paul and his merry band of libertarian Bolsheviks are very dangerous. Libertarianism is an important strand of conservative thought, and to have its principal representative at a moment such as this be as extreme a figure as Representative Paul is, in...

Results from Democratic firm Public Policy Polling poll of likely Iowa caucusgoers released this morning: Ron Paul (23 percent), Mitt Romney (20 percent), Newt Gingrich (14 percent), Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, and Rick Perry (all at 10 percent), Jon Huntsman (4 percent), and Gary Johnson (2 percent).

Ron Paul has gone Hollywood. Appearing on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Friday, the presidential hopeful took a swipe at his GOP rivals telling the crowd that Michele Bachmann “hates Muslims.” When asked by host Jay Leno what he thought of his rivals, Paul shook his head, slowed his voice and said, “she doesn’t like Muslims, she hates them, she wants to go get ‘em” — in reference to the comments Bachmann has made on the campaign trail over her willingness to attack Iran over its suspected nuclear program. Bachmann, who is campaigning today in Iowa, rejected Paul’s comments....

Ron Paul is the wild card in the Republican presidential deck—and that makes him one of the most important cards of all right now. ....If Mr. Paul does well in Iowa, he could so muddy the waters that there is no clear winner. An inconclusive outcome would be a boon for Mr. Romney, who hasn't done all that well in Iowa, and who is counting much more heavily on winning the New Hampshire primary a week later. A murky Iowa result would reduce any momentum the upstart Mr. Gingrich might enjoy heading into New Hampshire. New Hampshire, in turn, is...

Ron Paul is the Rodney Dangerfield of Republican presidential candidates.... Why, despite a small but devoted set of supporters, does this 76-year-old obstetrician turned politician routinely get no respect from the media and GOP operatives?... 1. Ron Paul is not a "top-tier" candidate. ...Paul is doing increasingly well in national and state-level polls.... And now that Cain has dropped out, Paul's stock is likely to keep climbing. The congressman is no less a top-tier candidate than anyone else in the race. 2. Ron Paul is a doctrinaire libertarian. ...Paul parts company with many libertarians on many issues. These include immigration,...

My faith is a deeply private issue to me, and I don't speak on it in great detail during my speeches because I want to avoid any appearance of exploiting it for political gain. Let me be very clear here: I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and I endeavor every day to follow Him in all I do and in every position I advocate... America became the greatest nation in human history because a dedicated band of Patriots believed their God-given rights were worth fighting for, even if it meant challenging the world's most powerful nation in...

Ron Paul Can Win By Robin Koerner, on September 17th, 2011 It’s hard to tell if the idea that Ron Paul cannot win in 2012 is more ignorant, in its complete lack of historical sophistication, or more arrogant, in its claim to certainty amid all the complexity of 300 million lives and the myriad issues that affect them.Sometimes, perhaps once in a few generations, a nation can undergo what a mathematician or physicist would call a “phase change.” The classic example of such a thing is a pile of sand. Every grain you add makes the pile slightly steeper and...

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann’s victory in Saturday’s straw poll in Ames, Iowa has earned her a lot of media attention for her 2012 presidential bid. But nipping at her heels only 152 votes behind was Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who has gotten little-to-no attention from the media for his feat on Saturday. And although one might think attention is deserved for Paul, according to Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer, Paul is being ignored for one reason: He doesn’t stand a chance. Krauthammer explained this on Monday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel. ...more (w/video)...

As Politico speculated this morning (and AP relayed in an earlier post), Ron Paul actually stands a chance to win the Iowa straw poll today — particularly if turnout is low. The early word is that the voting universe actually looks to be quite strong, but the excitement outside Paul’s tent this morning certainly reinforced the idea that he’ll do well. And Paul himself says he’s feeling confident. “It’s pretty exciting,” Paul said to me, in between signing his book for young fans and chatting briefly with supporters. “There’s a lot of enthusiasm. I think it’s really interesting because nobody...

After yesterday's spurt in talk radio about Ron Paul, I've been thinking about his positions. I oppose Ron Paul on Foreign Policy (especially his position ignoring the threat of Islam taking over our policy), but have to seriously wonder about supporting some of the other candidates who have not faced opposition. Ron Paul gets a lot of flak, but why do the others get away with cheating us for doing far worse than what Ron Paul promises to do to Israel? Many candidates like Rick Santorum, George Allen and Joe Barton have hijacked the label of conservative, but are less...

NEW YORK (TheStreet ) -- If Ron Paul were to win the GOP presidential nomination, there's a chance he wouldn't have to worry about geographical balance on his ticket. Paul, a Texas congressman and critic of the Federal Reserve, mentioned a former New Jersey judge and current Fox News talk show host -- Andrew Napolitano -- as a potential running mate, in an interview with TheStreet's Alix Steel in Washington this week. Paul, though, did say he hadn't "thought it through." Andrew Napolitano Judge Napolitano is not only the author of books titled Constitutional Chaos: What Happens When The Government...

Representative Ron Paul easily won a Republican Leadership Conference straw poll of the party's 2012 presidential contenders on Saturday, with former U.S. envoy to China Jon Huntsman finishing second.

This might not be the first endorsement 2012 Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul wants, but it’s an interesting one coming from a mouthpiece of the left. On CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” on Tuesday, HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher appeared and gave his analysis of the 2012 Republican presidential field the night after a debate in New Hampshire showcased on CNN. According to Maher, there was not a whole lot to applaud that appeared on the stage. “No, of course it got even worse,” Maher said. “It’s tough sledding there, as a progressive, as a sane person just to...

Who does best against Obama? Paul. The congressman from Texas, who also ran as a libertarian candidate for president in 1988 and who is well liked by many in the tea party movement, trails the president by only seven points (52 to 45 percent) in a hypothetical general election showdown. Huckabee trails by eight points, with Romney down 11 points to Obama.

The Texas libertarian is widely seen as a longshot candidate for the GOP's 2012 presidential nomination. So why is he preparing for another White House campaign?....

....Part of Paul's fervent support in 2008 was grounded in college-aged voters, a constituency that also largely favored Barack Obama. In this campaign, the 75-year-old Paul said today, Mr. Obama won't be able to hang on to the youth vote. "I think that Obama will not be able to hang on to that enthusiasm of the young people because of what's happened in the last couple years," Paul said in Des Moines, Iowa, after his exploratory committee was announced. The financial crisis, the bloated deficit and the ongoing wars make the libertarian views Paul is known for -- such as...
