  • 2537 Wyoming Democrats Changed Party Affiliation Since January

    07/31/2022 12:35:30 PM PDT · by OneVike · 47 replies
How about some raw numbers that prove how futile Cheney's chances are in Wyoming? This is short, but with statistical numbers who needs a lot of words. Cheney seems to be paddling up skubala creek without a paddle. Wyoming Registration statistics prove that Democrats have in fact been changing party's, because Democrat affiliation has dropped by 2537 from January 1, 2022, to July while Republicans registration numbers rose by 4400 in the period of time. So the numbers do prove they are reregistering as Republican. However, even if every Democrat in the state reregistered as a Republican, Cheney still...

Tom Geffers saw it coming at the West End fair. The Monroe County Republican Committee’s booth at the summertime fair held a straw poll on presidential candidates throughout the week. Geffers, then-chairman of the committee, watched stances change on the GOP — at the time everything was about Donald Trump. The poll didn’t surprise Geffers then, and neither did recent statistics from the Monroe County voter registration department that showed nearly 600 county voters have switched from the Democratic party to the Republican party since the new year. Though the county’s Democrat voters still outnumber Republicans — 48,875 to 33,636,...

by Fritz Wenzel COLUMBUS, Ohio-Sept. 26, 2012-There’s a lot of noice out there right now regarding the polling of the race for President of the United States. Some polls show Democrat Barack Obama up by a few points, while others show it is a really close race. Almost no polls show Republican Mitt Romney with a meaningful lead. That does not necessarily reflect what is really going on. The reasoon Obama seems to enjoy a lead over Romney is straight-forward, and by now, well-explained: it is because the survey sample includes more Democrats than Republicans. Simple enough. The next question...

Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) seems to have momentarily forgotten which party he belongs to. In this video, the party-switching senator notes that he has been endorsed by the college Republicans, except that the more applicable endorsement for him right now would be the college Democrats. Whoops. It's not the first time Specter has slipped up on his new party affiliation. Shortly after the switch, he suggested he was rooting for GOP Sen. Norm Coleman (Minn.) in his recount effort.

A new study gives new meaning to being blue — or red — in the face. People can pretty accurately discern whether someone is a Democrat or Republican just by looking at their mugs, according to research by two Tufts University social psychologists. In a series of experiments, college students were shown headshots of people and asked to guess their party affiliation. The students were correct 60% of the time, according to the study, greater than random chance would indicate. The researchers said students made their decisions based on their stereotypes of what Republicans and Democrats looked like.

Talk about a lousy summer vacation. Ever since the health care debate became headline news the Democrats has seen their dominant lead over the GOP shrink. Gallup has a poll out today that says the the once record-sized Democratic Party lead of 17% has shrunk to a meager five points at 45% to 40%. Just before the President took office the gap among Americans calling themselves Democrat vs Republicans was a formidable 52% to 35%. This poll confirms similar results from Gallup, Fox, and CNN all showing that Democratic Party support is falling. Much of this drop in support has...

The number of Americans identifying themselves as Democrats fell by two percentage points in July with Republicans and the number of unaffiliateds each gaining a point. In July, 36.8% of American adults considered themselves Democrats. That’s down two points from last month and down five points since December. This is the lowest percentage of Democrats measured since December 2007 (See History of Party Trends from January 2004 to the present). Still, there are more Democrats than Republicans. A total of 33.3% now claim an affiliation with the GOP. While that’s up a point over a month ago, it’s right in...

It shouldn't take a poll to tell you the latest news. It should only take a memory of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. Nothing revitalizes the Republican Party like Democrat control of both the executive and the legislative branches. Following a brief but hyperactive four months of unchecked power, Democrats no longer represent a majority of the nation, for the first time since 2005. At least that's what the most recent Gallup poll shows. Of those polled 32 percent called themselves Republicans and 32 percent admitted to being Democrats, while 34 percent described themselves as "wishy-washy." Although some of the...

The number of Americans who consider themselves to be Republicans jumped nearly two percentage points in December to 34.2%. That’s the largest market share for the Republican brand in nearly two years, since January 2006 (see history from January 2004 to present). At the same time, the number of Democrats fell to 36.3%. That’s down a point compared to a month ago. During 2007, the number of Democrats has ranged from a low of 35.9% in July to a high of 37.8% in February.... These results are based upon tracking surveys of 15,000 adults per month. The margin of sampling...

[RAMBLINGS]I am getting a little tired of seeing low poll numbers, spats over supreme court nominees, overspending, the size of government, and just about everything else that makes washington politics as usual. I have written a vanity speech, a call to action so to speak, and I have posted it at www.markbureau.us and would like to share it. Here goes....
