The key finding in the telephone poll of 1,070 likely voters is that network news is dying. Some 28 percent say that they trust Fox News the most, followed by CNN at 18 percent. After that, the trust in TV news nose dives. NBC was third, at 10 percent, MSNBC fourth at 7 percent, CBS and ABC tied at fifth with just 6 percent.

I have never been more repulsed by such an ignorant display of bullying arrogance as I was watching O'Reilly's 'de facto' declarations about Obama's gaps, contradictions and ducking of questions. According to O'Reilly, we can all pack away any troubling notions about Obama now. Okay, I am so mad at O'Reilly. I thought he was going to investigate Obama's sad lack of records. Instead, in his talking points memo, he listed point after point, conceeding that data was missing, but then adding a 'but' to explain how it is okay. It was basically a coverup. I suppose that I should take consolation that Obama's camp must be desparate to solicit O'Reilly to do coverup work. Also, O'Reilly did say that Hawaii is not issuing 'long form' birth certificates, but he glossed over that.

I caught Dennis Miller on the O’Reilly Matter a couple nights back and Miller made a noteworthy dissertation regarding the disreputable tactics of Nancy Pelosi. He referred to Pelosi telling the nation that seniors are going to be meeting premature deaths due to Paul Ryan’s Budget proposal. On The Factor this evening, host Bill O’Reilly brought on a panel to discuss Fox News contributor Sarah Palin’s falling poll numbers. The Polling Company founder and president Kellyanne Conway suggested Palin’s increased visibility and celebrity status may be partially to blame for the falling numbers. In a word: Overexposure. Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce, meanwhile, was more interested in how those poll numbers might change once Palin is given an “unfiltered” platform for espousing her political beliefs – insinuating, of course, that Americans have yet to truly hear Palin’s opinions or her take on political issues.
