The mother of a homicide victim faulted the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday for her son’s death, saying convicted triple murderer Miguel Padilla should have been deported years ago. Fox News Channel featured the story of Stephen Heiss, the 27-year-old prison guard who – along with Alfred Mignogna and Frederick Rickabaugh – was gunned down by Padilla in front of the UVA Club in Altoona in 2005. Heiss’ mother, Sandra Miller of Altoona, was interviewed by Bill O’Reilly from the studio of CBS affiliate WTAJ in Altoona. She was accompanied on “The O’Reilly Factor’’ by Shawn Cohen, the...

According to a report in USA Today, some NATO troops in Afghanistan are under orders not to fight. German soldiers, for example, are apparently avoiding any contact with the Taliban. So it's no wonder that fanatical Muslim killers, who are allowed to live in Pakistan unmolested, are crossing the border into Afghanistan and causing trouble. Now my question to Germany and NATO is this: If you're not going to fight the Taliban, who are you going to fight? The answer in many countries is: no one. It was amusing to see U.N. Chief Kofi Annan say Iraq is worse now...

Fox News firebrand Bill O'Reilly threatened yesterday to whack Rupert Murdoch in the wallet for promoting O.J. Simpson's how-I-murdered-my-wife book. Vowing to boycott any company that advertises on Fox's two-part special hyping O.J.'s "If I Did It," O'Reilly declared: "If every American walked away from the O.J. garbage, it wouldn't happen." "I'm not going to watch the Simpson show or even look at the book," he added. "If any company sponsors the TV program, I will not buy anything that company sells - ever." Geraldo Rivera, another Fox News star, piled on and called the book "appalling." "I will bash...

Will you watch the upcoming O.J. Simpson TV special? Yes No

Rock bottom has arrived as O.J. Simpson is being paid to speculate about the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman — murders a civil court ruled he committed. As you may know, Simpson will reportedly receive $3.5 million to detail how he would have murdered the two Americans if he had did it. Since Nicole was the mother of his two children, the horror of this is evident to any decent person. But FOX TV and a publisher believe they can make money on the project, so it's on. Add to that the Kansas late-term abortion situation, where...

Tuesday night by a vote of 4-2, the San Francisco Board of Ed banned Junior ROTC training in seven city high schools, throwing 1,600 students out of those clubs. This is a direct insult to the U.S. military and violates the civil rights, I believe, of the ROTC students. The federal government should immediately suspend all federal aid to San Francisco schools. There's no reason to ban JROTC. Nobody's required to join it. And if a student with parental approval wants to investigate a career in the military, every American school should encourage that. Obviously, the military is protecting us...

Catholic League president Bill Donohue issued the following statement today on Bill O’Reilly’s remarks about the Vatican that he made last night on his Fox News show: “Bill O’Reilly cannot blame his ignorance of all things Catholic on his high school because Chaminade, located in Mineola, Long Island, is the flagship Catholic school in the New York metropolitan area. So it must be his intellectual sloppiness. For example, last night he said that ‘the Vatican is calling the proposed fence on the southern border inhuman’; a picture of the pope was shown on the screen. “O’Reilly is wrong—the Vatican has said...

You know, I've been covering the news in America for 30 years and this Kansas situation is the worst thing I've ever seen. A doctor named George Tiller is operating a late-term abortion mill that will destroy a viable baby up until birthing for a mental health exception, which much of the time is an episode of simple depression experienced by the mother. Wednesday night on this broadcast, a pro-life advocate told us that Tiller injects poison into the baby's heart while it is still in the womb, then removes the dead baby and cremates it. We have not been...

he big reason why I think voter turnout will be low on Tuesday is that many Americans don't like either choice. On one side, there's a bloody stalemate in Iraq, a failure to secure the southern border and corruption du jour. On the other side, there is no plan to fight worldwide terror, a fanaticism about raising taxes and a social outlook based upon San Francisco values. So you tell me: Are you jazzed about voting? Our pals at The San Francisco Chronicle address the San Francisco values deal today. By the way, I believe I coined that term. The...

For more than a year, "The Factor" has been investigating Dr. George Tiller of Kansas. For $5000, "Tiller the Baby Killer," as some call him, will perform a late-term abortion for just about any reason. In Kansas, the law says that abortions are legal after 22 weeks when a baby in the womb becomes viable, only if there is "irreversible impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman." Now that's a pretty high bar. But there is the mental health exception. And that is where Dr. Tiller lives. "The Factor" has learned that in Kansas, a mental health...

An abortion doctor plans to ask for an investigation of the state attorney general and Bill O'Reilly over comments by the Fox television host that he got information from Kansas abortion records, the doctor's attorneys said Saturday. Dr. George Tiller said he will ask the Kansas Supreme Court on Monday to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate and take possession of the records of 90 patients from two clinics. Attorney General Phill Kline obtained the records recently after a two-year battle that prompted privacy concerns. He has said he sought the records to review them for evidence of possible crimes...

Did John Kerry intentionally mean to insult the military? Yes No
-
Fair and Balanced was a joke tonight on the O'Reilly Show. In the discussion of John Kerry's soldier hate speech comments, O'Reilly gave Kerry a big, fat free pass. In what is obvious to anyone, Kerry clearly attacks soldiers to get a laugh from a college crowd. The same disdain toward troops and to get an easy laugh was Kerry's modus in the Vietnam era. O'Reilly's spin wasn't even hidden. O'Reilly opened by saying that Kerry's comments were just fine. He then said, "Joining us are Democratic Strategist #1," he had to clear his throat a bit at the next...

Last week on The O'Reilly Factor, the high-flying Fox News Channel's most popular show, ABC News political director Mark Halperin confessed to a left-wing bias in many of the old, establishment television and print media, to the absolute delight of liberal-baiting host Bill O'Reilly. "So you're admitting... maybe your own network tilts to the left?" a smiling O'Reilly asked, relishing the moment. "If I were a conservative," Halperin replied, "I understand why I would feel suspicious that I was not going to get a fair break at the end of an election. We've got to make sure we do better...

David Letterman rips into Bill O'reilly Oct. 27, 2006 at 3:23PM Friday night's "Late Show" with David Letterman in New York will mostly consist of an insult fest between Letterman and Fox's Bill O'Reilly, a report says. The New York Post's Page Six previewed a tape of the CBS show, saying that everything starts going downhill right when O'Reilly sits down and offers letterman a plastic sword, holds up a plastic shield and jokes about doing battle. Letterman responds to that with. "Oh, that's nice, that's cute, you come out with toys ... Am I right about one thing: You...

Bill O'Reilly was on The View to discuss his new book Culture Warrior and, although there weren't fireworks, he and co-host Rosie O'Donnell got into a heated exchange about the war in Iraq. O'Reilly pressed O'Donnell with the question of whether she wanted the US to win in Iraq. Rosie refused to answer. She said she doesn't think that it's possible. She wants America to be what "the founding Fathers wanted it to be." But she wouldn't say she wanted the US to win in iraq. According to Rosie, wanting the US to win in Iraq is "antiquated thinking." Video...

Charlie Rangel, the man who could be the next chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, refers to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, as a “so-called terrorist.” He tries to backpedal when O’Reilly calls him on it, of course, but there it is on video.
