The American Physical Society, an organization representing nearly 10,000 physicists, has reversed its stance on climate change and is now proclaiming that many of its members disbelieve in human-induced global warming. The global warming issue started out looking like a win for the Democrats, containing the obligatory components of leftist propaganda: fear, narcissistic appeal and content abstract enough to thwart refutation. Plenty of easily-recruited “experts” showed up and people in general seemed to be falling for it. But freedom of speech messed up everything.
