A video shot in Japan’s port city of Osaka has been making the rounds online, displaying a swarm of white spherical objects of unknown origin flying across the sky. The low-quality footage has triggered speculation over extra-terrestrial life and UFOs.

Breaking and very sad and terrible news for our dear Little Sisters in America. The Little Sisters have been so very supportive to us over the years since we first started the Walk for Life. "Moments ago, in a departure from the U.S. Supreme CourtÂ’s protection of the Little Sisters of the Poor last year, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit ruled that the Little Sisters must comply with the governmentÂ’s HHS mandate. This mandate forces religious ministries to violate their faith or pay massive IRS penalties. The following statement can be attributed to Sr. Loraine Marie...

Depending on the Iraqi government to act as a partner in the fight against the expansion of the Islamic State is not working, and it is time “to go back to basics,” Council on Foreign Relations President Richard Haass said Friday. “The caliphate is not just verbiage; it’s real,” Haass said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program. “We have not had a strategy in Syria … and the administration thought we had a strategy in Iraq, and I think what we’re seeing increasingly exposed is that we don’t.” Part of the problem is, Haass said, is that the “border’s irrelevant” when...

In 1947, a group of Christians in Nebraska formed a fellowship known today as the Berean Church Fellowship. The name of the group is borrowed from the Acts of the Apostles 17:11, which the group quotes on their Web site (www.bereanchurchfellowship.org): "Now the Bereans… Received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." The fellowship’s Articles of Faith begin with the following statement: "We believe the Bible, consisting of both the Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety, is the only divinely inspired, inerrant, objectively true, and authoritative...

Put a man in uniform, preferably a white man, give him a gun, and Americans will worship him. It is a particularly childish trait, of a childlike culture, that insists on anointing all active military members and police officers as “heroes.”

My biggest complaint against liberalism is that it exists in a utopian dream world in which the facts are largely ignored. Just some examples: • On the social issues of abortion and homosexuality, the science is unambiguously against liberalism. Abortion takes the life of an innocent person. On homosexuality, there is no gay gene. Even so, marriage is not about love or rights of adults; it is about procreation and children. The evidence consistently points to children doing better in a home with a mom and a dad. And promiscuous anal sex, which is the norm in the gay lifestyle,...

GENEVA (Reuters) - There has been no reverse in the trend of global warming and there is still consistent evidence for man-made climate change, the head of the U.N. World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) said on Monday. A slow-down in the average pace of warming at the planet's surface this century has been cited by "climate skeptics" as evidence that climate change is not happening at the potentially catastrophic rate predicted by a U.N. panel of scientists. But U.N. weather agency chief Michel Jarraud said ocean temperatures, in particular, were rising fast, and extreme weather events, forecast by climate scientists, showed...

On Friday, House Republicans held a meeting to discuss their strategy on the government shutdown. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) reported exclusively to Breitbart News, “This was one of the best conferences we’ve had.” She said that Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) was quite resolute with regard to the shutdown: “I felt like I was looking at this guy from back in 1994. He had very good resolve.”

WASHINGTON (BHN) - President Obama recognized the National Day of Prayer today by issuing a proclamation calling for "prayers and invocations" in the wake of national tragedies, including the dozens of people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Boston Marathon, and West Texas refinery, as well as the over 300,000 unborn children slaughtered by Planned Parenthood. While the President did mention God in passing once in the lengthy ode to man's greatness, Jesus Christ was notably absent as the self-professed "born again Christian" continues his administration's steady progress in eliminating Christianity from all phases of American life. In related news,...

A conservative group aiming to oust John Boehner as speaker of the House said on Wednesday that they have commitments from enough Republicans in Congress to deliver the political surprise of the year and deny the Ohio Republican another two years with the speaker’s gavel. “I have confirmed with a group of congressmen that Speaker Boehner will not be elected speaker tomorrow,” Ron Meyer of the group American Majority Action wrote in an email Wednesday evening. “He will either resign or be forced out tomorrow.” In a phone interview with The Daily Caller, Meyer said “more than 20” Republicans have...

Jordan's King Abdullah II reaffirmed his government's rejection of his father and grandfather's historic policy that "Jordan is Palestine" on Monday. "The so-called 'substitute homeland' exists only in the minds of the weak," Abdullah told reporters, stressing "the Jordanian option is an illusion. Jordan is Jordan, and Palestine is Palestine." Abdullah's comments come amid a row over his refusal to back the Palestinian Authority's unilateral bid for statehood at the United Nations and are likely intended to show 'solidarity' with PA officials, who have been angered over Amman's position. Analysts say, despite Jordan's couching its opposition in terms of concern...

As debt-limit negotiations consume Capitol Hill, Sen. Jim DeMint (R., S.C.) urges Republicans to be cautious. “The president is a magician,” he says in an interview with National Review Online. “He has been using sleight of hand. This is not time for Republicans to find compromise, we have to figure out how to stop him.” If not, and Republicans deal, DeMint warns that such a move would be “suicidal.” “Any grand deal would not get through the House,” DeMint says. “The president knows what he’s doing — he’s trying to get the Republicans to renege on their pledge not to...

As newly minted princess Kate Middleton greeted Michelle Obama in the ornate surroundings of Buckingham Palace Tuesday, it was hard to believe she was wearing a $340 dress from British retailer Reiss — a frock any commoner could buy. (snip) While Michelle Obama has also been applauded for wearing clothes from affordable stores such as J.Crew and H&M, she also favors big-name designers such as Jason Wu and Isabel Toledo. The floral Barbara Tfank dress she wore to meet Middleton this week cost at least $2,000.

It looks like James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas may have some ‘splaining to do after an analysis by The Blaze reveals some selective editing of the recently released NPR videos. The most damning video was the one where now former NPR executive Ron Schiller was quoted as calling the Tea Partiers as racists. However a further look at the raw footage shows that Schiller was actually discussing what an Republican Ambassador was saying.

Looks like yet another left-winger missed the meme on the New Civility. Attorney and "Ring of Fire" radio show co-host Mike Papantonio, guest-hosting on Ed Schultz's radio program yesterday, revealed two things -- he hates old people and wants tea party retirees to hurry up and die. Don't take my word for it, listen to Papantonio's remarks after a caller said he saw "one of these baggers" push a woman during dueling protests over the weekend in Madison, Wisc. (audio here)- CALLER: And he pushed the woman and, you know, I don't know what caused that or whatever but, two...

The marching orders from Congress and the White House to NASA were pretty straightforward. Go out and build a new big rocket to replace the retiring space shuttle fleet. Unlike the shuttle, the new rocket has to be powerful enough to get out of low Earth orbit and carry humans to an asteroid and eventually Mars, perhaps even the moon. There must also be a test flight by 2016. But at this point, NASA officials are warning of a potentially devastating setback to future space exploration. Its first new rocket in 40 years may not happen because the agency doesn't
