Casino magnate Sheldon Adelson contributed another $5.5 million to Winning Our Future, the super-PAC supporting Newt Gingrich, according to Federal Election Commission documents filed Tuesday. The former House Speaker has vowed to stay in the race until the Tampa, Fla., convention in August, and denies that he’s only being kept afloat by the large donations from Adelson. “I have 176,000 supporters at newt.org — they want me to stay in the race. I really represent their interests as individuals," he told CBS last week, claiming that "95 percent have given less than $250" — meaning they haven't hit their legal...
  • Rick Santorum Wins Louisiana Primary, Continuing His Southern Sweep

ABC News projects that Rick Santorum will win the Louisiana Republican primary. Exit polls indicated that Louisiana’s primary saw a high turnout of voters who identified as very conservative — a group that has typically favored Santorum. Also helping Santorum was a high turnout of religious voters — nearly two-thirds of voters in today’s primary said that they go to church at least once a week. Santorum has so far performed very well in the South, winning primaries in Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee. He was favored to carry Louisiana. Recent polling showed him with a comfortable lead over the...
  • Major Garrett: President Obama’s Trayvon Response ‘One For The History Books’ (Hurl Warning)

To hear some conservatives tell it, President Obama tore racial unity asunder with his Friday remarks about the tragic death of Trayvon Martin, while liberals have a predictably more favorable view. Perhaps a better barometer of the President’s success at conveying the proper sentiment is from a trusted, down-the-middle guy like National Journal‘s Major Garrett, who called the President’s remarks “One For The History Books.” In his column, Garrett briefly assesses the President’s handling of the Trayvon Martin story, and places it within thorough context of the President’s oft-criticized approach to race. From National Journal: “If I had a son,...

NEW ORLEANS--It was less a campaign speech and more a general studies lecture. Standing against the backdrop of a chalkboard and two massive charts featuring the periodic table, Newt Gingrich spent his final campaign event ahead of Saturday's Louisiana primary addressing a classroom full of Tulane University students. For nearly 45 minutes, the former House speaker talked at length about an array of somewhat unexpected subjects, including the Wright Brothers feud with the Smithsonian over the birth of modern aviation—an analogy he made to highlight private enterprise versus over-the-top government spending. He described himself as a "dreamer" and defended his...

Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich, who was campaigning in Louisiana ahead of Saturday's primary, told reporters he believes President Barack Obama is a Christian but his behavior is causing many Americans to think he is a Muslim. Former House Speaker Gingrich said Friday, the day before Louisiana will hold its primary, that perceptions over Obama's faith were not baseless. "It should bother the president. Why does the president behave the way that people would think that?" Gingrich said after a speech on Louisiana's Gulf Coast when reporters asked about polls indicating many Americans think Obama is a Muslim. "You have...

It’s time for Rick Santorum to go. He’s getting more whiny than usual and it’s getting tiresome. Like Newt Gingrich, he’s not going to win the nomination, and I suspect he knows it. But I get the impression that he doesn’t really care who wins in November – unless it’s him. Where did I get an idea like that? From Rick Santorum himself. On the campaign trail in San Antonio, he said: “You win by giving people a choice,” You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision for our country, not someone who’s just going to...

Unlike every other election where people like Sean Hannity call it "the most important election" each and every time, this election does have some serious importance, especially if the Supreme Court rules against the states and the Constitution and finds for Obama Care. Should that happen, this election will be the last chance to reverse course before we enter the Euro - socialist world and destroy the foundations ofthe United States of America. So this election is kinda important. How do the candidates stack up? Who can you support as a conservative and why? Sarah Palin is my choice, and...
  • Gingrich Calls Obama’s Trayvon Martin Remarks ‘Disgraceful’

President Obama’s remarks today about the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin drew scowls from GOP presidential contender New Gingrich, who called them “disgraceful” and divisive. “What the president said in a sense is disgraceful. It’s not a question of who that young man looked like,” Gingrich said on Sean Hannity’s radio show. President Obama today offered a personal reflection on the tragic shooting the Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, saying the incident requires all Americans to “do some soul searching.” “When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids,” Obama told reporters.... Gingrich said on the radio show:...

Rick Santorum entered into a shouting match on Neil Cavuto‘s show Friday afternoon, yelling in apparent frustration at the Fox News host after he’d been asked about his recent comment that we “might as well” have another term for Barack Obama than take a risk on Mitt Romney in the White House.

I picture Newt Gingrich as an old seasoned sea captain, with the captain's hat and the pipe standing at the helm of the USS America, calmly, with ruthless brilliance righting our ship that has lost it's course. He's the only one who knows where the the reefs and sandbars are and can prevent a ship wreck. If people don't start letting him have the wheel, we're going to all need life jackets.

A new Rasmussen Reports polls gives GOP presidential contender Rick Santorum a double-digit lead going into the Louisiana primary on Saturday, putting the former Pennsylvania senator on solid footing to carry some additional bragging rights out of another Deep South nominating contest. The survey shows former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney running second and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich running a distant third

Arlen Williams of http://www.GulagBound.com linked to an interesting story at The Daily Caller titled: "Lord Monckton: ‘I’m no birther,’ but Obama birthcertificate ‘plainly a forgery’ (linked at tableofwisdom) I love to hear Lord Monckton speak. It’s amazing to see how the blinders are on a nation of deceived people. I keep saying it is spiritual and REALLY believe that the extraordinary degree of willful blindness can only be explained in that manner. How else can you explain the fact that Obama is 100% inoculated by this issue and many others no matter what the truth is. Like Monckton, I do...
  • Santorum: Might as well have Obama over Romney

Presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday said Republicans should give President Barack Obama another term if Santorum isn't the GOP nominee and for a second day compared rival Mitt Romney to an Etch A Sketch toy. Santorum reiterated an argument he has made before: The former Massachusetts governor is not conservative enough to offer voters a clear choice in the fall election and that only he can provide that contrast. "You win by giving people a choice," Santorum said during a campaign stop in Texas....

How has the popular vote differed in the 2012 GOP primary if you break out the states by their track record in recent presidential elections? It turns out that there are some distinct patterns, patterns that provide both good and bad news for a GOP contemplating a general election behind Mitt Romney.Let’s start with the 13 “Red” states (i.e., the states won by the GOP in the last 3 presidential elections) to vote so far: SC, MO, AZ, WY, AK, GA, ID, ND, OK, TN, KS, AL & MS. Here’s how the vote breaks down, out of 4,052,212 votes cast:Newt...

Mitt Romney has won the Illinois primary. But, the turnout of voters was dismally low. Given an incumbent Democratic president with an abysmal record, why aren't Republicans turning out in droves to vote in primary states for the man who many say is the "inevitable" nominee? Conservative economist Thomas Sowell, author of Intellectuals and Society, recently challenged the notion that Mitt Romney is the “inevitable” Republican nominee, and, in doing so, the many pundits who have essentially told Newt Gingrich to drop out of the race “for the good of the Republican party.” Dr. Sowell, a Harvard graduate and current...

Halfway through the third month of Republican primary elections, Republican front-runner Mitt Romney holds a narrow lead over rival candidate Rick Santorum among voters nationwide, according to a new poll of Republican voters. In recent weeks, polls of Republican voters have consistently shown a two man race between Mr. Romney and Mr. Santorum. The latest poll of nationwide voters by the Public Polling Policy finds that Mr. Romney leads Mr. Santorum 34-31 percent. The Massachusetts Republican is trailed by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who trails by 20 percent, and Texas Congressman Ron Paul by nine percent. Mr. Paul has...

It’s not unusual for conservative commentator Ann Coulter to tell women to stop playing the victim (and in some cases, rightfully so), but it was somewhat surprising to see the New York Times bestselling author defend “The Godfather II” star Robert DeNiro’s joke that the United States is not ready for another white first lady. “Can we please stop the fake ‘offended’ routine? Pls explain what was allegedly offensive about DeNiro’s joke,” Coulter tweeted Tuesday in the wake of Internet outrage over DeNiro’s wisecrack. Coulter followed up with a retweet that provides us with a little more clarity: “It’s always...

According to NY Times, the total bound delegates, who must vote for their candidates at the first round at the Republican National Convention, is 1606 or 70% of total 2288 delegates available. Romney so far gets 449, Santorum 185, Newt 138, and Paul 35 according to Real Clear Politics. Total of bound delegates so far is 449+185+138+35 = 807. The total of bound delegates remain is 1606-807= 799 delegates. And Romney needs 1144 – 449 = 695 bound delegates more or 695/799 = 87%!!! Impossible unless all TX delegates go to him! If we throw all 120 super-delegates (Party leaders)...
