WASHINGTON -- Thanksgiving is going to be ugly this year. There's a real chance the public won't know who won the White House weeks after Election Day, and rather than feeling grateful, leaders in both parties are peddling grievances nonstop. Before the voting has begun, Americans have been told not to trust the outcome. And the worst offenders are the people who think they believe in the process just as they prepare to tear the country apart if they lose. A bipartisan group of 100 or so left-wing luminaries, institutional graybeards and never-Trumpers came together to work on what they...

Taxpayer-funded institutions are now adding their voices to the movement against “systemic racism”—the invisible legacy of slavery and discrimination that supposedly determines the destiny of black Americans. The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture last month posted a graphic on its website outlining the “Aspects and Assumptions of Whiteness & White Culture in the United States.” The document maintained that “white people and their traditions, attitudes and ways of life have been normalized over time” and “we have all internalized some aspects of white culture—including people of color.” From the sounds of it, these “assumptions” are the...

Well, I'm sure I've got your attention now, with that provocative title! But I'm not kidding. I think President Donald Trump will win by an electoral landslide on Nov. 3 because of guns, black voters and the NFL. Let me explain this winning formula. First, guns. It's hard to believe Democrats are this clueless, blind, deaf and dumb. And I stress dumb. They've made the 2020 election about guns. What a huge mistake in a country dominated by gun owners. First, a Soros-funded St Louis circuit attorney made the PR mistake of a lifetime: indicting Mark and Patricia McCloskey for...

Near the end of last year, I casually joked on my podcast that watching Joe Biden campaign was like watching a public service announcement about elder abuse. As with all good humor, it was based in truth, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized just how much truth there was in that joke. But there’s more truth in it than I realized because Joe has not only been the butt of the joke, but he’s also been in on it the whole time. That Biden has lost a step isn’t in dispute. Anyone as old as he is has...

Animals that are ambush hunters tend to be very still until they have their prey where they want them. Then, the ambush hunter is an explosion of efficient motion and the prey . . . well, the prey is toast. With Saturday’s executive orders and press conference, Trump proved himself to be a masterful ambush hunter, and the Democrats found themselves being hapless prey. As with so many of their initiatives in 2020, the Democrats got greedy. Time and time again, they’ve used the excuse of the Wuhan virus and George Floyd’s death to advance hard-left policies unrelated either to...

Never before seen footage shows the shocking moment an explosion rocked the port of Lebanon's capital city, Beirut, on Tuesday (August 4), at approximately 6 pm local time. The HD 4K video, recorded on an iPhone SE by Agoston Nemeth, a 42-year-old therapist from Budapest, Hungary, shows loud rumbling, as black smoke engulfs the sky, before a huge mushroom cloud and visible blast wave blows out the windows, rushing towards the camera and knocking it over. Nemeth's footage was captured on the terrace of his home, on the 13th floor of building next to St George Hospital, only 850 meters...

Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease expert, spoke through screens to the Brown community and the public Friday afternoon, sharing practical public health advice and updates on the nation’s COVID-19 response. Fauci was interviewed by Ashish Jha, the incoming dean of the School of Public Health, who is currently the director of the Harvard Global Health Institute. Opening the event, President Christina Paxson P’19 introduced Fauci as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases for over 35 years and an advisor to six presidents on domestic global...

Left-wing pop icon Cher, who last month stated that President Trump “kills Americans without a thought,” doubled down on the bizarre accusation, telling her 3.8 million Twitter following that Trump is responsible for the “torture and killing” of 160,000 Americans. Cher kicked off the accusation by telling her followers that there’s a “chance” Trump will follow through with the money and benefits he promised the American people — a likely reference to his Friday evening press conference, in which the president previewed executive orders to defer the payroll tax and student loan payments, extend unemployment benefits, as well as “extend...

The California Department of Housing and Community Development is using $100 million of the $550 million it got from the federal Coronavirus Relief Fund to put homeless people in hotel rooms or other facilities in San Francisco as a way to allegedly curb the spread of the disease. The state’s Homekey program announced the millions of taxpayer dollars available as grants to pay for the housing and that the deadline to apply is December 30.

A councilor for Los Angeles who voted to slash $150 million from the annual budget of the LAPD has called the police to his house eight times since April, it has been claimed. Mike Bonin, 53, was among 11 councilors who agreed in June to reduce the annual budget, in the wake of calls to defund police forces across the country following the May 25 death of George Floyd. On Friday night Bonin was accused of having called the cops to his LA home eight times since April, including requesting protection from protesters.

LANSING, Mich. — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer traveled to Delaware last weekend to meet with Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee's first known in-person session with a potential running mate as he nears a decision. Whitmer visited Biden Sunday, according to two high-ranking Michigan Democrats who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly. The first-term governor of the battleground state has long been on his short list of possible running mates. Flight records show a chartered plane left Lansing's Capital Region International Airport for Delaware Coastal Airport at 5:33 p.m. and...

Belgium and France seized dozens of sheep to prevent illegal slaughter for Eid al-Adha AUG 8, 2020 1:00 PM BY CHRISTINE DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS This story illustrates the fact that many Muslim migrants have a vastly different set of values from those that most people hold in the West. Mass migration has brought their value system to Europe and North America. The illegal slaughter of animals in open view is not a practice to which Westerners are accustomed. Belgian authorities seized about 70 sheep to prevent them from being illegally slaughtered for the Islamic Eid al-Adha holiday. The Islamic holiday began on...

Abortion giant reportedly abused coronavirus stimulus funds A group of senators is calling upon the Department of Justice and the U.S. Treasury to investigate abortion provider Planned Parenthood over its alleged misuse of coronavirus stimulus funds, with the politicians also requesting updates on the government's investigations into Planned Parenthood's purported sale of fetal tissue in violation of federal law. Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler spearheaded the calls for the federal investigations, posting two letters on her senatorial website both of which were signed by Loeffler and more than two dozen of her colleagues. One letter addressed to Brian Miller, the Treasury's...

Former Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday called President Trump's executive order to cut payroll taxes "a reckless war on Social Security." One of the several orders Trump signed from his private club in Bedminster, N.J., Saturday afternoon directs the Treasury Department to allow employers to defer payment of employee-side Social Security payroll taxes through the end of the year for Americans making less than roughly $100,000 annually. Trump also said that he intends to forgive the deferred payroll taxes and make permanent payroll tax cuts if he is reelected in November. In an emailed statement addressing the president's order,...

Millions of unemployed Washington residents could see $400 a week more in their weekly unemployment payments — possibly by the end of the month — thanks to the executive order President Donald Trump signed Saturday. Trump said the money should be available in a “very rapid” fashion. The state’s Employment Security Department has previously said it could two weeks to implement a new flat benefit. “The effort requires changing programming to the new amount, and then recalculating monetary benefits for every claimant to allocate those moneys to their account,” ESD Commissoner Suzi LeVine told the state’s congressional delegation recently in...

TikTok said on Thursday that it will set up its first European data center in Ireland. The announcement comes amid increasing scrutiny over the video app’s privacy and security risks. U.S. President Donald Trump, citing national security concerns, on July 31 gave TikTok’s owner, Beijing-based internet giant Bytedance Technology, an ultimatum: either sell TikTok’s U.S. operations to Microsoft or any other U.S. company by Sept. 15, or get banned in the United States. Until recently, TikTok Inc., the company’s U.S. entity, was the official data controller of TikTok. After July 29, the service provider for European Economic Area (EEA)-Swiss users...
