Tampa, Florida - It was an emotional interview for Michelle Williams. As a community activist and chief of staff for the New Black Panther Party, Michelle is used to addressing many issues. But when it comes to her passion in the Trayvon Martin case, she get especially upset and tearful. Through tears, she said, "If my words, my words that I had to say out of anger will make the American people address this issue, let it be my time, Melanie. Let it be my time to address this issue with America, that we say enough is enough. We can't...

Justice Department ignores black-on-white crimeWhat is it about the Justice Department and the Black Panthers? On March 24, Mikhail Muhammad, leader of the New Black Panther Party, offered a $10,000 bounty for the “capture” of George Zimmerman, who shot and killed Trayvon Martin. The Panthers distributed wanted posters, calling him a “child killer” and offering the bounty “dead or alive.” Muhammad warned that Mr. Zimmerman “should be fearful for his life.” These acts were almost certainly criminal. Florida Code 787.01 makes it a felony to threaten someone or abduct them with the intent to terrorize. Florida Code 777.04 further criminalizes...

In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday, obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller, a family member of George Zimmerman asked the nation’s top law enforcement officer why he has chosen to not arrest members of the New Black Panther Party for their rhetoric — some of which may fit the federal government’s definition of a hate crime — throughout the Trayvon Martin case. The family member believes the reason Holder hasn’t made those arrests is because he, like the members of the New Black Panther Party, is black. “I am writing you to ask you why, when...

“……the Left always seems to find a rake in the tall grass to step on. When they do it comes up to hit them in the face. A case in point is the ridiculous circus known as “Occupy Wall Street” (OWS) that morphed into “Occupy” anywhere Democrats are in charge (so they won’t get kicked out). Ultimately the OWS movement did nothing but generate embarrassing questions about why Democrats had Super Glued themselves to a band of filthy criminals. As evidenced by the hundreds of arrests made in them , OWS camps became safe houses for murderers, rapists, child molesters,...

What if I told you that a white supremacist group held a conference call demanding a day of action to spill the blood of blacks and Latinos in America? Your reaction would be one of absolute horror. You would immediately decry the racist organization as having no place in our society and demand that the organization be shamed and shunned by the media — and rightly so. Yet, the opposite takes place on a regular basis – if not daily. Black supremacist groups like the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) consistently call for blood shed of whites and no one...

1) If one suggests that there may not be, at least as yet, enough evidence to overturn the initial police decision of not charging Mr. Zimmerman with a crime, then one is a de facto racist. In other words, the liberal position of letting all the evidence be reexamined in a dispassionate fashion is now illiberal. And the illiberal one of charging someone with a felony without established probable cause is liberal. But just arresting and charging a suspect to let a judge or jury post facto decide whether there was ever probable cause for such an arrest is neither...

This past weekend saw further escalation of nationwide demonstrations over the fatal February 26 shooting of a black Florida teenager, Trayvon Martin, by a white Neighborhood Watch volunteer. Though in apparent self-defense, many are demanding the shooter, George Zimmerman, be arrested. In lieu of such action, some are vowing to apply their brand of street justice. Unfortunately, they have an ally in President Obama. Speaking before reporters outside the White House on Friday, March 23, Obama implied Martin was a victim of a racially-motivated murder and cover-up. His defining line - "You know, if I had a son, he'd...

CNSNews.com) – Black-on-black violence is a “disease” that deserves a “national investigation,” Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter told a Youth Violence Prevention forum in Washington on Monday. “It is a disease,” Nutter said. “It’s a rash, and if there were a rash killing a hundred and some odd young people on a daily basis we’d be doing something about it.” Nutter said tainted food gets more attention than young people killing each other: “If there were five bad bags of spinach on the shelf somewhere, someone would put out a national alert. Every bag would be snatched off the shelves until...

The U.S. Department of Justice had no comment on the $10,000 bounty the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) was offering for a "citizen's arrest" of George Zimmerman, the 28 year old man who told Sanford, Florida Police he shot and killed 17 year old Trayvon Martin on February 26 in an act of self-defense. According to a number of reports, the NBPP "called for the mobilization of 10,000 black men" to do the "arrest." Zimmerman and his family have received death threats since the case became a national issue. Mr. Zimmerman has not been arrested by local authorities. Federal, state, and...

Human Events recently editorialized that Eric Holder should have never been confirmed as attorney general and that his priorities are dangerous. Here are the Top 10 Reasons Eric Holder Should Not Be Attorney General: 1. Wants special rights for Muslims: Holder’s Justice Department filed suit against the Berkeley School District in Illinois for denying a request for a 19-day leave of absence in the middle of the semester by a Muslim computer lab teacher who wanted to make a pilgrimage to Mecca. The Justice Department wants a federal court to grant Safoorah Khan back pay with interest, reinstatement, and award...

Yesterday, during the 3:00 PM (EDT) hour of The Sean Hannity Show, Jay from Pittsburgh called in to comment on the Trayvon Martin case. After being corrected on two erroneous claims and informed about eye-witness testimony, Jay then offered to add $1000 to the New Black Panther Party’s $10,000 bounty for the capture or killing of George Zimmerman. ...Minister Mikhail Muhammad spoke to Anderson Cooper today to try to explain just what his group was doing. In the process, he “indicted” Zimmerman with “1st degree murder” and accused Cooper of not “caring about the Martin family.” “He committed murder, he committed a hate crime,” Muhammad told Cooper, explaining, “we decided to take it upon ourselves and coalition with other groups, with other black people who have had enough.” Cooper tried to explain two key faults in their plan: that Zimmerman hadn’t been charged with anything, and “Trayvon’s parents don’t want you.” Neither seemed to matter. “We are military,...

In Sanford, Florida, the leader of the New Black Panther Party called for a $10,000 bounty for the man who allegedly shot and killed Trayvon Martin. A $10,000 bounty. When I first heard of this story, the first thing I thought of was the Duke lacrosse case. Everything here lined up perfectly just as the Duke lacrosse case did for a stereotypical situation or cliche to be fulfilled. And before anyone knew the facts, look indeed what happened: That stereotypical was filled in, all the blanks were filled in, and everybody got into gear just as they did during the...

Voting Rights: The most politicized attorney general in American history takes on Texas' Voter ID law as discriminatory and intimidating to minorities, and tries to make American elections safe for vote fraud. The Justice Department's civil rights division, the same group that dropped the case of a group of New Black Panthers wearing military garb and carrying billy clubs as they stood outside a Philadelphia polling place in 2008, has filed an objection in U.S. District Court to Texas' voter identification law on the grounds it intimidates minorities and suppresses minority voter turnout. Photo IDs and the requirement that they...

J. Christian Adams is an election lawyer who served in the Voting Rights Section at the U.S. Department of Justice and is author of Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department Most who have seen the video of the New Black Panthers standing in front of a Philadelphia polling place in 2008 have well-settled opinions about the matter. However, with the presidential election next year, and with the injunction that barred the baton-wielding King Samir Shabazz from appearing at city polling places set to expire, it's worth considering some facts you might not have heard before. As...
