"One man has a net worth of $22 million along with an approximately $40-61 million deal with alt-far-left Nike as well, and is recognized as the greatest 28-30 Quarterback (3-16 in his last 2 of 6 seasons) to ever play in the NFL. He also spent his last season protesting the country that enabled him to attain that great wealth (beginning on August 26, 2016 during the last pre-season game, and ending January 1, 2017, his team’s final game for the season). He is also similar to another famous America hater whose mother was a white atheist from Kansas, as...

For about the 20th year, one of Free Republic's members is pleased to create a Yahoo! Pick'em Fantasy Football league. The league rules are simple: ** Pick the winners of each game ** Assign a confidence value to each game ** Post messages to each other on the message board that include bad puns ** Donate generously to Free Republic at the end of the season in the name of the top point earner That's about it. It is a wonderful time waster that really doesn't take much time. I tend to pick all the games in preseason for all...

Former Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed, who spent nearly his entire career playing alongside a friend and fellow player charged with murder, believes that the $100,000 fine the Washington Commanders levied against defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio is “not enough.” On Friday, the Washington Commanders fined Del Rio $100,000 for referring to the January 6 Capitol riots as a “dust-up.” Del Rio had made the “dust-up” comment while addressing a tweet in which he questioned the emphasis the left has placed on the January 6 riots while seeming to not possess the same level of interest in prosecuting those who...

The Washington Commanders have fined defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio $100,000 following his comments earlier in the week that referred to the events of Jan. 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol as a "dustup" and compared that day to "riots, looting, burning" during protests in the summer of 2020. In a statement, Washington coach Ron Rivera said he met with Del Rio on Friday morning to express his disappointment in the coordinator's comments. "His comments do not reflect the organization's views and are extremely hurtful to our great community here in the DMV," Rivera said. "As we saw last night...

An NFL player is in the middle of one of the largest controversies the league has ever seen, and the silence from key figures has never been more noticeable. New allegations against Deshaun Watson are coming in, and a lawsuit against the quarterback has now expanded to include the Houston Texans, but you’d never know anything was happening if you only paid attention to the NFL directly or the Cleveland Browns. On May 24, commissioner Roger Goodell said the league’s investigation into Watson was winding down. As recently as last week it was reported that the league had completed its...

The National Football League has hired its first openly transgender cheerleader. Justine Lindsay, 29, told the world in an Instagram post in March she made the Topcats, the cheerleading squad for the Carolina Panthers. In that same Instagram post, she also came out as transgender. 'Cats out [of] the bag, you are looking at the newest member of the Carolina Panthers Topcats Cheerleader's as the first transgender female,' she wrote. 'I would like to thank the beautiful and talented dancers who supported me along the way, alumni, TopCats family and friends for your love and support. I would not have...

The NFL and the NFL Players Association have agreed to halt all aspects of their joint COVID-19 protocols, effective immediately. Following nearly two years of restrictions, operations will return to normal, the league relayed in a memo Thursday, obtained by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. It is a long-awaited awaited announcement as there will be no more requirements for masks, tracking devices, surveillance testing or capacity limits, unless they are required by state or local laws. "Based on current encouraging trends regarding the prevalence and severity of COVID-19, the evolving guidance from the CDC, changes to state law and the counsel...

About 830 a.m., police were called to Los Angeles International Airport’s Terminal 7 due to reports of domestic violence on an airplane, according to police Lt. Karla Rodriguez. The suspect, football star Adrian Peterson, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence injury to a spouse, Rodriguez said. Peterson was released on $50,000 bail Sunday afternoon, according to jail records.

A Super Bowl party without chicken wings is like an egg without salt—awkward, and not as delicious as it should be—but supplementing with another protein is never a bad idea. Chicken is delicious, but steak feels celebratory. Serving whole steaks to a crowd of football watchers is unwieldy and time consuming, but serving steak bites is easy and clever. Cutting beef into bite-sized bits makes it easier to serve and eat—no need to get cutlery involved, toothpicks will do just fine. Sirloin is the most popular steak bite cut. It’s not too expensive and fairly lean, with a pronounced beefy...

NFL testing data shared via the daily transaction log showed a single-day record 37 positive tests on Monday and the two-day total hit 75 on Tuesday. By comparison, the league said 110 positive tests were recorded from September 5 through November...
