“I’d describe it as catastrophic.” So said Food and Drug Administration commissioner Robert Califf in a recent series of tweets about a troubling but ignored problem: the major decline in life expectancy among young, working age people. In fact, the number of “unexpected or, ‘excess,’ deaths, which claimed 158,000 more Americans in the first nine months of 2023 than in the same period in 2019 … exceeds America’s combined losses from every war since Vietnam,” wrote The Hill last week. Some people want this problem to remain ignored, too. Just consider that “America’s chief health manager, the Centers for Disease...

One of the most consistent efforts made by “experts” during the early stages of the pandemic was to attempt to impress on the public that COVID was an extremely deadly disease. While it’s clear that for the extremely elderly and severely immunocompromised, COVID does present significant and serious health concerns, the “experts” did their best to convince people of all age groups that they were in danger.Initially the World Health Organization (WHO), in their infinite incompetence, made a substantial contribution to this perception by claiming that the mortality rate from COVID was shockingly high.In March 2020, with precious little data, the...

A new study highlights how closely connected politics and health outcomes have grown over time. Investigators from Brigham and Women’s Hospital examined mortality rates and federal and state election data for all counties in the U.S. from 2001 to 2019. The team found what they call a “mortality gap”—a widening difference between age-adjusted death rates in counties that had voted for a Democrat or a Republican in previous presidential and governor elections. The team found that mortality rates decreased by 22 percent in Democratic counties but by only 11 percent in Republican counties. The mortality gap rose across top disease...

Ebola’s average mortality rate is 50 per cent.. A top physician says it will be necessary to keep “vaccinating the world for years” in order to prevent a COVID strain as deadly as Ebola from developing. The comments were made earlier today by Frank Ulrich Montgomery, chairman of the global physicians’ society the World Medical Association (WMA). “My great concern is that there could be a variant that is as infectious as Delta and as dangerous as Ebola,” he told the newspapers of the Funke media group. According to Montgomery, “It will be necessary to vaccinate the world for years...

FDA report shows Pfizer's clinical trials found 24% higher all-cause mortality rate among the vaccinated compared to placebo group. . ... Most of the total 29 deaths in both groups were not related to the coronavirus; of the deaths in both groups, three fatalities were listed as being related to the virus; two in the placebo group and one in the vaccinated group. The FDA report, however, revealed a larger number of deaths by all causes in both groups, with 17 deaths among the control group and 21 in the vaccinated cohort. The relative difference in all-cause deaths between the...

Dr. Ben Carson, Housing and Urban Development Secretary under President Donald Trump, criticized Covid-19 vaccinations for children ages 5 to 11 as "a giant experiment" during a Sunday appearance on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures." Asked by anchor Maria Bartiromo whether he agreed with the recent Centers for Disease Control (CDC) decision to allow children to receive Pfizer's Covid vaccine, Carson definitively replied, "absolutely not." Carson, former director of pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center, went on to explain his reasoning: The fact of the matter is, the mortality rate for children from COVID-19 is 0.025, which is...

Few people in 2020 came under more heat than Anders Tegnell, Sweden’s top epidemiologist. But the man who forged Sweden’s laissez-faire approach to COVID-19 early in the pandemic says new international data reveal a hard truth about government lockdowns.“I think people will probably think very carefully about these total shutdowns, how good they really were,” Tegnell told Reuters in a recent interview. “They may have had an effect in the short term, but when you look at it throughout the pandemic, you become more and more doubtful.”Tegnell was referring to data published by Reuters that show Sweden, which shunned the strict...

The World Health Organization (WHO), under the leadership of Ethiopian politician and Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, cannot be trusted. It has become another untrustworthy corrupt globalist enterprise. Spread of the new coronavirus that originated in China has not yet reached a level that would deem it a global public health emergency, the World Health Organization said on Thursday. The virus has sickened more than 600 people, and 25 have died.“Now is not the time. It’s too early to consider that this event is a public health emergency of international concern,” Didier Houssin, chair of the WHO emergency committee, said...

Italian virologist says open borders & fears over “racism” crippled Italy’s response to coronavirus. Professor of Virology and Microbiology at the University of Padova Dr. Giorgio Pal told CNN that measures imposing travel restrictions and border controls were taken too late due to fears over political correctness. “There was a proposal to isolate people coming from the epicenter, coming from China,” Pal told CNN. “Then it became seen as racist, but they were people coming from the outbreak.” Italy is now the hardest-hit country in the world in terms of coronavirus deaths, with 63,927 confirmed cases and 6,077 people losing...

I love Rush but he has stated several time today that the death rate of Corona virus is LESS than the death rate of influenza. This is just flat out wrong. From the CDC website Mortality rate of influenza: Deaths per 100,000 population: 2. So the CDC says that for every 100,000 people that get the flu, 2 of them will die from it. What is the mortality rate percentage?: 2 (the number of deaths) divided by 100,000 = .00002, or .002%. The estimated mortality rate of corona (which he is basing on the number out of China = 2-3%....

Research published in the journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research found those who did not consume any alcohol appeared to have a higher mortality rate, regardless of whether they were former heavy drinkers or not, than those who drank heavily. Instead, “moderate” drinking, defined as one to three drinks per day, was associated with the lowest mortality rate. …

Why do men die first? This is a question that has gone unanswered for centuries, but, now we know. It requires a bit of explanation, first: If you put a woman on a pedestal and try to protect her from the rat race ... you're a male chauvinist. If you stay home and do the housework ... you're a pansy. If you work too hard ... there's never any time for her. If you don't work enough ... you're a good-for-nothing bum. If she has a boring repetitive job with low pay ... this is exploitation. If you have a...

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Each year more than one million babies in sub-Saharan Africa die before they are a month old because of a lack of essential health care, a U.N. report said on Wednesday. "Sub-Saharan Africa remains the most dangerous region in the world for a baby to be born -- with 1.16 million babies dying each year in the first 28 days of life," said the report published, in Johannesburg and Geneva. The document, drafted by nine agencies including the World Health Organization, said six countries in the region had made progress in improving care, reducing neonatal deaths by...
