Miami-Dade County commissioner and husband arrested on grand theft charges
<p>MIAMI (AP) -- A Miami-Dade county commissioner and her husband were arrested Monday on charges of grand theft following a state probe into possible misuse of campaign funds.</p> <p>Miriam Alonso was jailed on charges of grand theft, unlawful compensation and conflict of interest, and her husband, Leonel, was charged with grand theft and money laundering, police said.</p>
